Judges have 2 scorecards. One scorecard has ruslan up if he KOs alvarado, but if alvarado would have manage to last the whole 12 rounds, they will pull out the other card out of their arse and have it for alvarado. Shady ass business.
Provodnikov is no longer the boxer who somewhat struggled against Herrera (even though he should have edged it), i'm definitely on the Siberian's bandwagon now. He's not the most accurate guy but he puts insane pressure and he's brutal.
Sky's score was reasonable. Mike clearly took rounds 2,3, and 6. Five was a close round where Provo won the first half and Mike rallied over the second part. Everything round 7 was all Ruslan, of course..and those rounds were won in such commanding fashion (10-7 in round 8, and quite possibly 10-8 with no kd in round 10) that judges couldn't possibly have awarded Mike any of them without making themselves appear to be completely corrupt.
I agree that was a little bit of a long count in the 8th Weeks started to say ten and move his hands but stopped and let it continue despite the fact Alvarado hadn't started getting up
The commentators were all Alvarado from the rip. At least lederman had the score right. Weeks did give Alvarado a long count but it did not help him. In the long run only made him look worse, rounds 9 and 10 it was clear that mike was done competing and was just trying to finish the fight on his feet.
I only gave Alvarado 2 rounds, i was gobsmacked listening to the **** from the commentary team who said it was an even fight after 7 rounds !! I was even more worried shortly before the stoppage when they said they had Provodnikov up by 3 points after the 10-7 round, but hinted that the judge's may have scored it in Alvarados favour !!
