Northern Ireland is in the UK but its not part of Britain. Anyway he probably would describe himself as being from the UK. Who cares. And yes, he really can fight.
You need education. In Belfast you can barely move for the British flags. They are very fiercely proud to be british
He represented Ireland in the am's, but I'd say he is happy to represent NI and fair play to him. Barry McGuigan helped bring people together in the north when he was fighting, sport should unite rather than divide people. Anyway. Frampton is a top prospect and I hope he wins a world title.
To be fair i think everyone in here is likely to be short on the academic credentials to comment on what is an extremely complex situation. Why cant we just comment on frampton as a fighter and leave it at that. From his words post fight last night he seems to see himself as a representative of both ireland and the uk so if he wins a world title we can all be proud.
well i guess northern ireland has always bin a part of the uk, and the UK has excisted for thousand of year
atsch correct me if Im wrong but is the biggest political party in Belfast Sinn Fein who were the political wing of the PIRA. They and their voters wouldnt consider themselves British, quite the opposite, it would be safe to say that they hate the British. :think
I said a lot, not all I mean if you asked certain parts of Belfast what they consider themselves they would say British, I mean depending on the area you are in you will either see Union flags or the Irish Tricolour.
And so begins every Frampton thread for the next 10 years. And FYI northern ireland is in Ireland, ireland is an Island. It id also in the uk. Just enjoy the Mans fights ffs.
