Nobody would ever pay to watch Wlad . He never sold PPV in his whole career.

I don't hate Floyd at all.

He's a very skillful boxer and a clever man who markets himself very well, and he has boxing's best manager/supporter in Leonard Ellerbe.

I respect Floyd's business savvy, he's proven that boxers can promote themselves successfully and control their own destiny if they choose to do so.

But his fights put me to sleep. :-((

It's simple don't buy them. I agree HBO's fights are getting better. I actually think you have contradicted yourself. I think HBO is getting more hardcore fans than casuals. But at the end of the day they haven't got the biggest draw in boxing today.

But now that boxing fans can choose to see more exciting fighters on HBO, they are less likely to watch Floyd's dull decision wins.

Analogy: people will eat food they don't really like rather than starve, but if they have a choice they'll choose to eat the foods you really like.

Floyd and similar defensive boxers are why boxing has declined in popularity, but warriors like GGG, Stevenson and Provodnikov will bring it back.

and, because of that, more people watch Wlad fight than any other boxer.

Boxing is doing pretty well I think. Just broke another PPV record. More boxers than ever in the highest paid lists. HBO haven't reinvented the wheel. They're just have a different set of boxers. Floyd will continue to have the biggest PPV numbers till he retires.

Yeah, I'm sure the casual fans enjoyed seeing Wlad hug and foul Povetkin.

    No, not that one...

But HBO has a far greater number of entertaining fighters now than Showtime: Stevenson, Kovalev, Pacquiao, Lomachenko, M Garcia, Provodniko, GGG, etc.

You couldn't refute my post, so you edited it. :rofl

You have such a blatant double-standard, it's ridiculous. No wonder you got banned from the Scene.

I don't know why anybody thought SHO was winning the network war

HBO has kicked SHO's ass, Bradley vs Provodnikov, Alvarado vs Provodnikov, Alvarado vs Rios, Kessler vs Froch, They have totally outclassed SHO
