Being from Northern Ireland, i cringe when I see people talking crap instead of what is a great talent.

All I can say is that he fights for Ireland and Northern Ireland as a whole and both Catholics and Protestants are firmly behind him.

Hopefully this talk about politics doesn't dominate any discussion of him in the future.

Did you ever hear of the Good Friday Agreement? If not, pick up a book, educate yourself and stop talking about matters you know **** about.

Although Northern Ireland isn't part of Britain? You get my point?

It's part of the United Kingdom and people who live here can decide if they are Irish or British and apply for either or both passports. The country is literary nearly 50/50 between Irish and British people (Catholic/Protestant as well)

For example Falkland Islands, not part of Britain but people who live their consider themselves British.

Although this shouldn't matter with Carl Frampton, he's a great Irish star who represents the whole country Northern Ireland and Ireland and people of all backgrounds and religions.

Could we all get back to the damn point of this topic instead of going over the history or Northern Ireland?

Frampton is talented, he's already stopped Martinez who won a title in his next fight so that already tells you that he can easily pick up a belt or two at the weight. He gets a lesson from Rigo imo but that is no shame, outside of Rigo there are plenty of winnable fights out there for Frampton at 122.

Exactly, I would love to see a Kiko rematch. It was a close fight until the knockout. I would still love to see him someday take on Rigo in the states, it would be an absolutely great occasion for all us fans of Frampton to travel to the states. Like Hatton against Mayweather it would be an invasion.

A lot of these yanks who claim to be Irish are actually scots/irish or Ulster scotts as they were known in northern ireland back in the day. The ulster scots were lowland scots who crossed the sea and settled in ulster northern ireland before they crossed the ocean to america during different periods in the 17th 18th and early 19th century. In america they became know as scots/irish, but now most of them just claim to be irish when infact they are really scottish.

Obviously millions of Irish crossed the ocean as well.

u gota be an american haha. read a book. well of course he's not gona claim to be english, its a completley different country and he's also not gona claim to be from Ireland (republic) because he's not from there either. He's from Northern Ireland where the majority will all claim to be Northern Irish and British...NOT IRISH. Infact if u go to Northern Ireland the majority will all have BRITISH passports & actually hate the Rep of ireland. so u claiming he's from there he would probably be quite offended
