Nelson-Fenech II was the first to spring to mind.

Some Aussie chips were well and truly pissed on...

Probably the greatest example -- or at least the greatest I can think of -- is Big John Tate getting stopped in the final round against Mike Weaver in Tate's hometown of Knoxville, Tenn.

james toney knocking out undefeated michael nunn in davenport, Iowa for the middleweight title personifies this thread topic, not adopted hometown arenas or just the guys country

Good one. I think being undefeated made it that much worse. I think mares and Gonzalez was bad. Losing his undefeated record in a first round ko.

Lacy vs Tyspko after the Calzaghe disaster. Brings in a European fighter of light regard and then injures his shoulder and gets cut and bruised and eeks a close one out

why was ruslan P -Alvarado disaster?? both fighters gave 110% Ruslan just plain outlasted Mike Both can hold their heads up high.
It took a juiced up Mosely , a lying POS Richardson & the Keystone Kops better known as the CSAC to beat a weight drained sick Margarito. Tony never stood a chance

Maybe you don't know what Alvarado is going through. We can say he held his up high, but for a fighter to lose at home and be beaten down at home that is a disaster. And are you being serious about the Mosley-margarito situation? This is isn't cj Ross is it? Shes been known to troll with her weird boxing scores.
