His career has been a total joke 30 fights and not one decent win, Carson Jones Matthew Hatton journeymen Talk about padded record, he will probably beat Senchenko but i'm putting money Alexander beats him, the step up from the likes of Jones to Alexander will be to great and Brook will get exposed, also when he looses to Devon where will he go, with the quality of the division when will he get another shot, not fighting quality and going for the title earlier will haunt Brook, IMO he won't ever be champion

He might never be champion but not everyone is! He's stalled around a bit longer than we would all like, IMO the Carson Jones fight woke him up a bit and I think that was enough to tell him he needs to knuckle down more to become a champ, he showed his heart though.

Some good fights out there after Saturday, providing he wins!

Decent fighter but thinks he's better then he really is, but for me loses credability when he starts mugging off Khan and Pac. Needs to get a title shot and quick

I agree with alot of this post some of the posts are disrepectful towards fighters but some are said in jest.

I dont think you need to be a boxer to have an opinion but you shouldnt call fighters bums if you havent boxed.

Or if you have.Back to the fight:I think Senchenko is Kells best opponent. Its already been pointed out that even a Hatton who hadn't fought for a hell of a long time wasn't an easy proposition.Probably a less than world class guy would have been swept away.I would back Senchenko to beat Carson Jones with a bit to spare. So don't think its easy. But I want Brook to win this.Would be interesting to see how the rest of his career progresses, particularly as IMO Amir is entering the last phase of his career, and Kell might have 3 or 4 good years left, hopefully.

If you have, you should be even less inclined to call them bums!

Yes i understand fighters can be good without being champions, its just i'm sick of him saying all he is going to do but never doing it, the hype around Brook is unreal yet he has never once to me looked like anything special

I cant understand why people do not credit Senchenkos win over Hatton? Yes he may have been out for over 3 years, but he had only been beaten by Mayweather and Pacman.

Hatton would of beaten anyone on Brook's resume that night i believe anyway.

no i didnt mean you mate, but alot of people dismissing senchenko as a bum is funny.

Yes he did lose to Malinaggi but maybe he just had an off not, and lets not forget alot of people thought malinaggi beat Broner (although im not one of them)

That's certainly true, for some reason the British media don't give a **** about pro or amateur boxing 99.9% of the time but win an olympic medal and you're the dog's bollocks. No wonder casuals think medallists should be fighting for world titles the instant they turn pro.

It's not just the media although winning an Olympic medal certainly helps.

Brook's not had the rights fights at the right time to help elevate his career...Why? I dont know, protecting the 0?

And those 3 years were spent heavy drinking, snorting coke, eating a terrible diet, suffering from depression, falling out with his family and usually being about 4 or 5 stone over weight. Plus before Senchenko, the last person to put Ricky on his arse wasn't even a pro fighter but some **** head down his local boozer, that's how far he had fallen. Hatton was neither physically or mentally in any position to make a come back, plenty of fighters would have beat him that night.
