A better question is - how long have both been #1?

Mayweather was removed from the P4P in 2008, because of his minitature retirement thing.

So Pacman has a longest consecutive streak as of right now.

Overall, May has more years on the RING P4P list.

Im completely fine with a bunch of frail *****'s thinking that Barrera was past his prime or even shot when he was 29 and coming off a 8 win streak, which is when Pac knocked him out.

Thankfully, all of the experts, historians and press do not share the same inane sentiments as you boso's, and thats all that really matters in the end.

How long have you been watching boxing?

Floyd has been on the P4P list since 1998 and has been the undisputed #1 on that list ever since Hopkins lost to Taylor.

    These are the FACTS.

Anyone who saw Pacquiao in the Barrera 1 fight, and who's seen him in his later career, completely understands that he was totally rubbish in the Barrera fight in comparison to a later Pacquiao. 24 year old Pacquiao was absolutely green, raw and unrefined. I of course dont expect you to know this, but every real boxing person knows this.

I've clearly been watching it longer than you, and probably by a multiple, from how you represent yourself.

Okay. So how long as Floyd been on the p4p list? Give me a factual number, seeing as you love facts so much. What's the number of weeks?

I've been following the sport since before Mike Tyson was #1 or #2 on the P4P list.

Had you even been born way back then?

Looking at P4P rankings, I'm curious who has the best record against their contemporaries. Just result based and for fun.

    bold=Loss

    Pacman: 9-3

    Barrera #3 2002
    Morales #8 2004
    Morales #5 2005
    Morales #6 2005
    Barrera #6 2006
    Marquez #3 2007
    Cotto #8 2008
    Hatton #10 2008
    Marquez #4 2010
    Bradley #8 2011
    Marquez #5 2011

    May: 7-0

    Corrales#5 2000
    Judah #10 2005
    Hatton #8 2006
    Marquez #2 2008
    Mosley #3 2009
    Guerrero #10 2012
    Alveraz #9 2013

Not surprisingly May is more dominant, and Pac is more active. Both pretty elite.

For contrast here's another active All Time Great P4P regular from the same timeframe...not even close to these two.

    Hopkins: 3-2

    Roy Jones#8 1993
    Trinidad#2 2000
    De La Hoya #5 2003
    Wright #3 2006
    Calzaghe #5 2007

No, Floyd has been on the P4P list since Sept 2009. After the 98-07 run, he retired and was removed from the rankings after over 12 months of inactivity. Returning with his win over Marquez in late 2009.

    Barrera P4P record: 3-2

    #8 Morales 99
    #6 Hamed 00
    #10 Morales 01
    #8 Morales 03
    #2 Pacman 06

:think Like Hopkins he's not too shabby, but still far removed from Pac and May.

I'm going to look up Jones, Sweat Pea, Marquez, Mosley, and a few others but I think they will yield similar results: Pac and May are in a league of their own. P4P vs P4P fights are rare as is, yet these guys have fought in more than any other and somehow won the vast majority.

Floyd wouldnt fight Canelo in a rematch.

Floyd didnt even wanted to fight Canelo for the last 2 years, until Oscar promised him that the fight will be FIXED.

If there was a rematch, it would be big, but only 1 time.

Floyd has a 6-fight contract deal with SHOWTIME, and SHOWTIME SPORTS is owned by Oscar's friend and attorney-Stephen Espinoza, and it makes business sense to keep Floyd winning his next 6 fights, which can total 7-8 million total PPV buys, with over $500 Million total revenue,

    than

a Floyd vs Canelo rematch which would, have dropped Floyd's stock from losing to Canelo, and only generate about 2.4 million buys and 170 million revenue for the rematch.

    boxing economics.
and Oscar, Shaeffer & Espinoza are doing big and smart business.
