    :blood

    Disagree strongly on both counts.

    1) Bundrage never actually deserved his belt in the first place. King maneuvered him into a championship via the easiest path of nearly any paper titlist in recent memory.

    2) While I'm not a fan of either, Ortiz vs. Bundrage stylistically would produce a nice scrap. It would be a fun headliner for a FNF. (which is where they each belong right about now)

Good job by the IBF. Ortiz doesn't deserve a title shot. Get back in line, broski.

    Surprised you think that.....
I wouldn't say the easiest path to a title, albeit Cory Spinks was gonna lose to someone (anyone) sooner rather than later. The fight with Ishe was ugly but close. I have no problem with him attempting to get a belt, that's the only way he'll get a cash out fight, he's not marketable. And though I think the fight would suck, K9 poses a unique challenge to a wrestler like Molina, he's not gonna be able to out muscle K9 and K9 does have decent power.
Wouldn't mind k9 vs Molina or Ortiz, your right though any of those fights have espn2 written all over them

Ahhhh..I totally misunderstood part of your post. :good

When you said "throw him in with K9" I assumed you meant Ortiz.

The fact that you said it would suck ought to have been a giveaway. :patsch Yeah, Molina vs. Bundrage would be AWFUL! :yep :barf

As for being a paper chump, King basically sold out Spinks - twice, actually. My theory is that Cory had outlived the usefulness of his name and his family's so DK wanted a more profitable guy to puppeteer with Cory's strap. He therefore orchestrated the hand-off to another guy in his stable, Verno Phillips. Despite having to change his traditional style and leave his comfort zone to slug in the pocket because of his legs being pretty much gone by then, Spinks pretty clearly outfought Phillips and IMO got robbed...on his own promoter's show! Then, knowing full well Spinks' legs had gone the way of Calderon's and others who rely on movement to compensate for a low-power elusive & technical style, he feeds the shot Cory (who scrapped his way back on top, probably to King's annoyance) to a crude and virtually unskilled but way stronger than Spinks could hold off anymore K9. :conf Just my read on the situation. Without Don King and everything falling perfectly into place there is no way K9 ever gets a belt. I rate him up there with Senchenko as far as recent paper titlists.

It looks like Golden Boy and Showtime are looking for Ortiz and Mosley to fight?

they are hypocrites, so telling them good job is moronic
they just sanctioned a fight with Yusaf Mack for Froch to fight and he was even less qualified for a title shot than Ortiz....

Sure, if you don't value infighting and clever defense at all.

Don't get me wrong, I personally would rather watch any given Ortiz bout than any given Molina bout - yet Molina does have mad skills, which you have to respect. He spent years carefully and patiently applying those skills and it has paid off with the belt around his waist - something else you have to respect. Ortiz with his wide hooking nonsense wears nothing around his waist...something to mull over if you want to equate him with Molina and say both are bums..

I wish GB would make Angulo-Molina. Angulo's fight hasn't been finalized yet and Angulo has the style that would wreck Molina.
