"Does anyone else think that Green might have been a little hard done by with the Briggs bout? If Briggs had have come back at 75% of his best he would've been a fair test for Green" But he didn't.
Was Green hard done by, NO.
They knew that Paul Briggs was shot, The NSW boxing commission knew that Briggs was shot, that's why the fight was moved from NSW to WA, even the Briggs camp knew that Briggs was shot and they still went ahead. Danny Green took a chance hoping that all those things were wrong and he could use Briggs's old reputation and it backfired on him. I don't blame Paul Briggs either, if someone offered me 200K after my ex has just taken me to cleaners I would take it as well. The blame sits with Green machine promotions.

Not to mention most betting agencies suspended betting on the fight owing to the flood of money being bet on a 1st round ko victory by Green.

the mainstream boxing fan will pay to see this fight.
This fight will sell ok and both fighters will make money-
The public wouldnt mind an aussie putting a final belting on bumdine.
But that is the last option for bumdine- if not then its :hi:

I don't think the mainstream fan will buy into this now mate. They are all now aware that Mundine is backed into a corner. Desperation doesn't sell.
The first time they fought they hated each other and everybody took sides, now Mundine is irrelevant, and the public will now know that they are just trying to milk as much as they can out of them and would respond in turn by not having any interest.

Yes I think it is over. He finally realised he needed to chase a big fight ... it failed to sell. I really dont see how he can come back from yesterday's events. Too big of a risk chasing down Mosley again with his own coin with a good chance ppl still wont show up.

Good on choc for finally chasing some big fights but I think he left his run too late.

The thing with Mundine is he doesnt take a flogging, he gets on his bike, if he gets clocked hard he just falls in a heap like he is in a coma. There is more value for money watching Green, atleast he has a real hard dig, gets clocked and trys to get back up, its exciting to watch and one cant help but feel for him at times. Mundine has lost the public and i really think this is the end for him now.

As for being hard done by regarding the Briggs fight, they had footage Zelky leaked on the net of Briggs sparring Mitreski jnr and he looked crap, they gave the guy 6 weeks to prepare and that was no where near enough time, they also wanted him to come in at Dannyweight, it was never a fair fight to begin with and briggs made the best he could of an oppertunity.

Maybe if he's hard up for money but I don't think it will happen myself. Mundine will never risk having that over Green plus Green said he was beaten fair and square for 2 years then changed his mind when he retired. Doubt it will happen but who knows you may be right.:good

At least in OZ he can draw 1500.Last summer while vacationing in Vegas me and 2 buddies walked into THE Palms Resort, only to find out while checking in there was a fight the following nite there in their theatre. The desk clerk asked us if we wanted to go and without even knowing who was on the card,we said sure-how much? The clerk replied "no charge",our compliments.
We took the 3 tickets and sure enough,it was Anthony Mundine vs a totally shot fighter Bronco McKart. The fight was a joke and all of perhaps a 100 people were there, totally bored out of their minds.I must admit we spent most of our time talking to the bartender and drinkingFREE beer compliments of some sponser.A pathetic promotion where nobody showed up!

actually 50k is very generous- He was paying fighters peanuts (asking them to sell tix to get paid) so i think even 10k for him is too much!!
