This is not a man who you claim "did not care." Full credit to Barrera for taking on and beating one of the most feared and avoided punchers of the time.

It was his accomplishments above 122 that put him on the map as one of the world's elite fighters. The wins over Sanchez, Morales, & Hamed.

Even after Pac, he had excellent wins over Ayala and Morales III.

The Rocky Juraz fights is the point you can see Barrera finally sliding. Still a hell of a fighter but you can put the "past it" stigma safely on him at this point.
