Why would you repeat this? I've done told you to leave the analogies alone and focus on Barrera, because you can't seem to make up your mind about his prime. You than insulted me for stuff I never said and my patience is wearing thin with you once again.

2003 Barrera was past prime. 60 fights and the wars MAB were in, it's not rocket science

it was a tuneup for Barrera coming off a big win. nothing more. Sanchez looked like doodoo in his fight before that.

And I would cite his respectable but gradualy sliding 2006-2007 performances against Rocky Juraez, Marquez, and Pacman as his decline.

I really hope he's not saying that.

Barrera was past prime but still elite when he fought Manny. Just like Floyd was past prime but still elite when he fought Mosley.

-Certainly a busy defense while Morales II was in the works.

-I wasn't aware Sanchez's previous fights were aired, he wasn't exactly a name guy.

And yet Duran losing twice to Ray Leonard is still rated higher by boxing historians, how did that happen? :nut

He was a clubfighter. And I'm pretty sure everyone knew then that it was a tuneup. No one regarded Sanchez as a good "challenge."

-Ghetto Wizard took two full sentences and bolded specific parts to form that idea, and has been running with it for two pages now. I did not say that, and even clarified that with you.

-I don't like the use of "past prime" as it pretains to fighters still near the top of their game, but that is a more fair analogy.

Would rather not since he didn't have a chance at paper titles like today.

Well either way, it's a damn good win for Manny and definitely his best. Not enough to get him near Mayweather's stature though. At this point I think Floyd is higher.
