Assumptions will take you just so far. Nearly stopped has nothing to do with stopped. Price is much more experienced amateur and still TT stopped him twice. This is an indication for the stage of development for Wilder and we can safely conclude that Wilder is at Price level at best but most likely somewhere under... TT will dispatch Wilder in 2 since Wilder always attacks like a mad man and TT is most dangerous in this situations...

Thompson would be Wilder's best opponent by light years. I think Thompson would beat him fairly easily unless Wilder drops him early, but being he took shots from Wlad for 17 rounds I think his Chin should hold up. In the last dozen years he's lost to Wlad and Pulev on short notice with a proper training camp I would assume Tiger is a big favorite.
There is no benefit to Wilder in making this fight. Wilder needs to be fighting opponents that are above him in the rankings.
No doubt. It sucks that too many managers only focus on the risk but not the reward. What happens if a prospect beats some solid journeymen, contenders and possibly go as far as knocking out the champ? We won't know because they are too busy worrying about losing to find out.
I think wilder should take this fight. it's a good fight for him. he's better than david price in my opinion. he's more athletic, moves a little more and has some of the hardest hands in the sport. If he has any sort of foot movement, he stops thompson in my opinion. perhaps it goes slightly longer because the tiger is a crafty vet, but ultimately it ends in a wilder stoppage.
Terrible fight for Wilder. Thompson is bigger and more experienced and has a far better cheen than anyone Wilder has faced. TT is legit Top 10--Wilder is barely Top 30. Not to mention TT has 15-25 lbs on Wilder. Let's see how Wilder does against Firtha. That guy has some cheen, so it won't be as easy for Wilder as it usually is.
Thompson's the one that's willing to fight anybody, anywhere, anytime while training on fried chicken and donuts I'd pick Tony "The Long Toothed Tiger" Thompson to win by KO :good
