Cooper deserved a stoppage win over Ali the way it was . Swap their ages during their rematch and he wins it also .

Cooper Deserved a DQ victory. Dundee used smelling salts in between rounds strictly prohibited by British Boxing rules. I just wonder how history would have been changed had the right call been made.

Being a Brit I wanted Cooper to win,I listened to the fight live on the radio.
The punch was no lucky punch. Cooper threw a helluva left hook,on a clowning and back peddling Ali. Cooper could take your head off with his left hook, but Ali always had great powers of recovery.
Ali got serious stopped clowning in the next round and done a number on Henry.
But Henry of the level as Ali? You're trolling Pepe.

Some DQs are rightfully listed as TKOs. Tyson over Fergusson is in my mind but not a good example since Tyson was the cheater and not Fergusson.
B4 I noticed it I thought that it was a rightful turn of a DQ to a TKO.

Ali recovered due 2 2 things: 1) smelling salt during the 2) illegal extended break that he got between rounds that he got due to his criminal cornerman (whom got famous due to his phenomenal handwrapping capabiliities among other similar things ) .

So being a genderqueer, u keep clinging to the balls that u perceive as belonging to the more dominant male around. A known phenomena.

Also, Cooper was never better than an experienced part time clubfighter to begin with, and had that tendency to cut, that together with Ali's torn and most possibly loaded as well gloves contributed to that crappy stoppage.

    :rofl Priceless. :rofl

Were all the other left hooks that either put Ali, on his arse, or broke his jaw lucky as well?

Maybe your name sake should have taught him how to " escape " from them.:lol::lol:

I'm sure I'll sound like a Tim Witherspoon fan boy, but I think he could give Ali fits (maybe not nightmares though). Maybe a prime Ali dancing circles around "Terrible" Tim, but I think he has a Ken Norton-ish style that gave a post-prime Ali fits, had solid boxing skills, and a good left hook that Ali could be susceptible to.

Again, maybe not nightmares, but could make a fight of it.

Ali was only KD three times in his career (Wepner was not a true KD). Two were from left hooks and one from a right hand.....that's it.

The punch that broke Alis jaw was a right hand in round 12. Not a left hook.

if you could name them all, it would help, becsause you appear to have dreamed up all these left hooks.

Ali went down only to sonny banks and cooper as a youth, and to frazier, that's 3, not even all them were LHs.

Foreman was a fully staged circus act, putting it too mildly.
Liston was 2 fully staged circus acts, putting it the way it was.
Frazier did beat him once, and was just about to repeat it in their 3rd.
The only time when Ali outpointed Frazier, was when the distance was 12.
Norton beat Ali, and arguably did it at least 2 times out of 3.
Frazier, Norton and Liston, especially Liston are overrated anyway.
99% of the people rating them over the likes of Larry Donald, Kirk Johnson and David Haye in h2h terms shows how overrated they are.
Bonavena drew with an aged Perralta, 7 years his senior and a smaller man. Did he even deserve a draw in that one?
Bovavena is rated so highly just because he deserved a win over Frazier. And did I already mentioned how overrated Frazier is?
Ali got gifts from the judges vs Norton, Doug Jones and even George Chuvalo.
Got the privilege of being the only man allowed to cheat vs Foreman, Frazier #2, Cooper #1. I bet he cheat and enjoyed Mirena's cheating in perhaps every single one of his fights.
Go give yourself a three fingered delight.
