Ward wouldnt have turned Rod away if he brought up testing in negotiations, this was the only fight that HBO would accept so he had no choice.

1. Why should Ward go to Europe?
2. Wasn't Dawson that one who called out Ward at 168?
3. Why should he agree to additional testing after the contract was already signed?

Refused? More like his management did a better job bargaining on his behalf than the other Super 6 participants' management teams did for their fighters.

So you think Ward would have accepted PED testing as long as he was pre-warned? :think

The **** does it matter what he thinks Ward would have done? VADA testing wasn't stipulated in the contract, so Ward is under no real obligation to participate in it.

1. B/c nobody in America outside of maybe Oakland wants to watch his boring style. Kessler, can fill up a football stadium in Denmark, AA and Froch at the time also brought Alot more money. He also at the time was not a champion.
2.No, he said it did not matter the weight, he just wanted the fight, and has said many times now how he was weight drained but that was the only way Ward would get in the ring with him.
3. To leave no doubts, especially since Rodriguez is willing and how many American boxers have tested positive lately?

Right you are. Ward is under no obligation to submit to PED testing.

You can bet though that there are repurcussions to that decision.
The media worldwide will look upon him with suspicion and the fans alike
when he's out doing promos for any fight are going to haggle him and straight out call him a cheater!
All the way up to fightnight with Rodriguez, the media will ask about him turning down PED testing.
Rodriguez will ride it all the way to the ring.
Ward has to deal with that.

If you have nothing to hide there's every reason to say yes to testing.
You outright turn down PED testing and life does'nt go on as normal, just ask Manny Pacquiao.

I live 3,000 miles from Oakland, and I love watching Ward fight.

And yes, maybe Kessler can fill up a soccer stadium? So what? Ward outclassed both Kessler and Froch.

I saw the post-fight interview after Dawson-Hopkins II. Chad insisted that he would have no problems making 168 at the time. In retrospect, I agree he had problems with the weight, but again, he was the one who made a lot of noise about fighting at 168.

Regardless, I don't personally believe it would have made a difference what weight they fought at. But make no mistake, Chad was the one who issued a challenge specifically stating 168.

To leave no doubts? That doesn't change the fact that this is the kind of thing that gets brought up during negotiations before a contract is signed; not after the fact.

I'll ignore your fallacy of extended analogy.

Dont think for one second that Rodriguez asking for PED testing after negotiations was'nt by design at the advice of Victor Conte.

I dont think Rodriguez cares that Ward is'nt testing, they're allready in his head!

Conte knows! :yep

True.

The other promoters should have stood their ground and demanded the same rules apply to all participants (everyone has to fight in foreign countries).

Sauerland did threaten to pull out when Dan Goossen had a California Commission referee work Kessler-Ward, since it was written into the Super Six contract that referees and judges be from neutral countries. But then Sauerland caved in and went along with it, which was weak on their part.

Right, is that why many of your posts here and the the scene are identical to yuu "Carcharias" posts?

JAB5239, you posted a photo of Joe Benedetti an obese ugly middle-aged man in Statesville North Carolina and claimed it was you.

You post on a gay discussion website www.gayspeak.com but use a photo of Joseph Benedetti from about ten years ago (before he became grossly obese).
