Michael Conlan clearly robbed, at least based on the first two rounds that was streamed. Cuban heavyweight the same it seems, boos all round the hall. Same old stuff.

Watching a different fight to me then. Thought Barnes way well beaten though, way too keyed up from the start.

Paddy was fine till that clash of heads, shook him up completely and even between rounds he was shaking his head trying to clear the cobwebs.
He's more than capable of beating that guy, but personally I wouldn't mind seeing McGuigan making him a nice offer and Paddy turning pro.

I've said it for a long time, Barnes style would suit the pros perfectly.

How did Ward look beating Ivanov in their rematch?

Was it closer or wider than when they met in 2011?

THOUGHT MCCARTHY WAS UNLUCKY WITH HIS FIGHT, i HAD HIM WINNING THE FIRST FOR SURE AND THAT WOULD HAVE CHANGED THE WHOLE NATURE OF THE CONTEST-I DID GIVE THE OTHER TWO AGAINST HIM BUT HE WAS GETTING CAUGHT LOOKING FOR THE BIG 'UN.

Ward was winning first round fairly comfterbly and then Ivanov got cut not sure if it was a head clash or punches as Ward was throwing punches and there heads came close at same time. He is a beast at 19, kid will be a promoters dream as a pro.

Could not agree more. Conlan clearly won the fight. Barnes may have lost but the truth is he would be very pro friendly style and it would certainly suit him. After Rio big Joe can turn over also.

Quigley just keeps getting better and better. That was some performance, boxed the head of him at range and then beat him up on the inside.

Ward was dominated by Peraza. Otherwise it could have been the third encounter between Kazakhstan and Ireland in 2013: GGG - Macklin, Alimkhanuly - Quigley, and Niyazymbetov - Ward. :)

wards out... **** fite... ward should have took it 2 the cuban instead of all that fainting and messing about... a bit more pressure from ward could have made all the difference:good
