Wasn't he born in Russian and emigrated when he was a kid or something? :huh I could be remembering that wrong.

I'm pretty sure he speaks the language and temporarily lived in Russia to pick up some cash helping the K2 bros spar for a while...

Grant had better technique, defense and beat quite a few quality HW's like Golota, Sanders, Sullivan, Savarese, Cole, Izon, Purrity. Wilder has a long way to go before he can be compared to Grant.

I really like Deontay. There's always a sense of nervousness when he gets hit but he composed himself well in the beginning, no sign of panicking when his opponent opened up on him a bit. I would like to see him work on putting his combinations together better and throw in a left hook more open and for his sake do some work on those legs. When he really commits to his punches he nearly falls over as if his legs cant support that much momentum but other then that I really hope he can be succesful... seems like a good guy and will def bring excitement to the heavyweight division if he can live up to his potential

styles do make fights... and this should be Boners Gatti fight. Easy style match up... watch his career duck aggressive come forward fighters who cut off the ring and throw with both hands...

There is a picture of him between Trout and Quillin somewhere and he's the biggest of the 3.

No, it says that is his current residence.

If you look at Wilder's page, for instance, there are two separate lines:

    residence - Tuscaloosa, Alabama, USA
birth place - Tuscaloosa, Alabama, USA

Firtha doesn't have the "birth place" line.
