Not that I'm taking your comments remotely seriously,but please entertain us by giving an explanation on how the bloody hell you think that Ali got a 'gift' in either of the two George Chuvalo fights ?

Banks, Cooper, Frazier all dropped Ali with LH's. Norton broke his jaw with a LH in the 2nd round in their fight.

I couldn't care less about Ali nuthuggers coming out with lists of names of fighters who didn't drop or hurt him. I'm just stating what actually occured in the fights mentioned above.

This revisionist garbage with regards to Ali is pathetic. A great fighter without a shadow of a doubt, but some of his fanboys make him out to be an untouchable superman.

Lewis would always have given him nightmares, and quite possibly stopped him with both in their primes.

Too big, too strong, too athletic, too powerful a puncher, and too cool headed for Ali to bother him with his antics.

His tactic of pulling the other guy down by the back of the neck when he needed a rest certainly wouldn't have worked against Lennox, who would either have thrown him off like a baby and force him to dance when he didn't want to, or turned the tables, and pulled the smaller, weaker Ali down with his left arm, and uppercut him with the right hand.

So yeah, to give him nightmares, and worse look no further than LL.

As a suggestion...learn enough to differentiate Ali pre exile and Ali post exile in terms of style, tactics, condition and ability. We never saw the best Ali.

 

Regarding Pepe who made a career posting made up stories in this forum until I exposed him as what he was......please post one noted boxing historian, writer or trainer who felt Chuvalo won either bout with Ali.

Ali won the first bout by 8, 11 and 12 points on the official cards. This bout was held in Toronto Canada, Chuvalos home country, and all three officials were Canadian.

Second fight...7, 8 and 14 points. This was a 12 round bout.

Alis jaw was broken by Norton in round 12 from a right hand. As soon as this punch landed Alis mouth started pouring blood.

 

Every hwt champion got dropped. Ali fought most one punch ko punchers than anyone and, aside from Frazier, none knocked him down.

Banks dropped Ali in round one. Ali came back and knocked Banks out several rounds later.

Cooper knocked Ali down at the end of round four. Ali stopped Cooper the very next round.

Frazier dropped Ali in round 15. Ali got up immediately. He then beat Joe by U decision in fight two and stopped Frazier in 14 in fight three.

One measure of all time greatness is coming back after adversity. Being KD means nothing....what you do after you get KD means plenty.

 

Your fanboyism knows no bounds. According to you both Ali, and indeed Dundee are either liars, or just plain stupid when " BOTH " claimed Ali fought 10 rounds against Norton with a broken jaw.

Your horse manure revisionism regarding pre 67 Ali is laughable. Who did he actually fight then? Bugs, earwigs, bums, old men, and L / Heavies, none of which in their primes, is who.

If you really want to blow smoke up Ali's ass try shouting about him facing a guy considered a killing machine who he mugged for 8 rounds then knocked out at the age of 32.

Foxy....again you have no clue. If I was trying to prsise Ali and maje him look good I would say he is so great because he fought ten rounds with a broken jaw. I dont say that because the fight film does not bare that out to be correct. If his jaw was broken in round two there is no wa y he could have taken the punches he took on that jaw. There was no visible effect until round 12 when a right hand on the chin caused blood to pour from Alis mouth. When I saw the fight live and in person in 73 as soon as blood came from his mouth I turned to my friend and said..."alis jaw is broken". There was no sign of this prior to that right hand in round 12.

I take it that you are not from this country? This would explain your highly distorted viewpoint.

 

I always thought Ali's jaw was broken in the 2nd round from what punch i can't recall.
It may well have been a left hook if there was any punch Ali was susceptible to it was that punch.
I'm Ali's biggest fan but I do recognize his flaws he was by no means the perfect fighter.
Personally when you get down to the nitty gritty and cut through all of the hype and bull****, it was probably the mans sheer fighting heart and toughness that were his greatest virtues. Which in losing to Norton fighting 10 rounds with a broken jaw simply emphasises that.
