He was on vacation. Somebody got that stupid award as a joke. Floyd only cares about being the BIGGEST attraction in the sport.

And it isn't best fighter of the decade, it's fighter of the decade. Big difference. Donaire was FOTY and he got schooled.

I swear Mayweather has some of the craziest detractors nobody bring up Mosley running from Mayweather (citing a toothace/vacation) (May says I'm goin on vaca an its mentioned to this day)
Or Cotto running (citing he wasn't ready & that he never even approached may for a fight ever)
Noone brings up how the "great' Margarito couldn't even string together two wins in a row to be considered anything but a hypejob.
Nobody mentions Pacquiao running from drug testing or the 100 excuses his team made everytime May offered him a fight.

How ridiculous is it that the biggest thing naysayer can say is he didn't fight a few guys earlier when they were on record at the time saying they don't wanna fight and some more who aren't really even legit champs. Nobody in the sport fights regining champ after reigning champ coming off of big win after big wins like Mayweather. In the end they hated Ali, Louis, Jordan & James so it comes with the territory

Margarito proved that he was a worthless cheating sack of ****, Cotto took his ass whoopin like a man and Pac showed what he would do when faced with a straight right hand ( go straight to sleep):yep

which is why you have so many atgs with Parkinsons. Brain tumors or dead. theres nothing wrong with wanting to be healthy for your kids. especially in the long run.
Floyd is unanimously known as the best fighter of this era. Everyone knows that. even Pacquiao fans who wont admit it knows he the best which is why people have to make outrageous claims in order for him to have competition.

you dont see anyone asking Pacquiao to fight GGG or Martinez (guys in his stable and on hhis network) simply because hes not as good. he could get away with fighting Rios off a loss because the expectations for him and Money are entirely different. If Floyd took that fight he'd be crucified. Manny takes it and its okay because hes not as good. Understand?

Fact #1 .... Mayweather will NEVER be an an ATG only in his own mind

Fact #2 .... Whose fault is it he'll never be an ATG ? Absolutely his own fault
He had all the talent to become one of the best ever but tossed it al
l away by ducking Paquaio, Margarito, & every other fighter who he
considered a risk to his 0

Fact #3.... Had Floyd taken those fights he may well have beaten them all & would
then be universally considered a top ATG. Heck I'd even be singing his
praises. He didn't even have to beat them all to earn respect just fight
    them

I think everyone knows that boxing is crooked and needs a federal investigation into fight fixing, crooked judges, referees, commissions, etc. Someone suggested that Mayweather could do something about crooked boxing, if he were to do such, I would become a fan, Mayweather would become immortal. IF Mayweather is big enough to tell it like it is and clean up boxing without bias. I think he might be big enough because he can retire whenever he wants to. He thinks about his legacy, well..............cleaning up boxing would make him a hero to all boxing fans and an immortal hero. Also, Sen. McCain was working on cleaning up boxing years ago, don't know what happened. Perhaps write to him, HBO, Showtime, ESPN, etc. Boycott mismatches. There was an FBI investigation into fight fixing in Vegas. I have a copy of that letter to the Attorney Gen, Sen, McCain, etc.

If Floyd is that worried about his health what is he doing boxing in the first place???? You cannot PLAY being a fighter which is basically what Floyd has done. He'll only fight those that present no threat to his health. In other words he's a shyster con job:hi:

    if 45-0 with 26 KOs
    Lineal 154 and 147
    Never been knocked down.
    Has beaten 19 World champs
and routinely giving up weight and youth to fighters
while being the #1 p4p in the world at age 36
    is considering "playing"

then the rest of the fighters in this generation must
be benchriding or like dead or some ****

because if thats playing then all fighters
should take notes and take boxing far less serious

How do you seriously put Pacquiao & Margarito in the same sentence together as defining fights Pacquiao is an ATG, Margarito is a bum who has 1 good win between 95-11.
People bring up the Health thing playing dumb like he didn't say he won't fight someone on steroids because his health comes first. I personally don't think Pacquiao is necessarily on PEDs but when you come up with excuse after excuse for why you can't take a drug test then duck drug testing when its brought up by Mayweather, Mosley, Marquez III/IV & Bradley how can you blame anyone who felt he was. Maybe if it didn't take 4 years & 2/3 losses for him to agree we could've had that fight.

i thought i should add this too

it takes a real loser to hate someone you dont know. to invest so much emotion into someone you never met. Im not a fan of Pac. butt I also dont hate him. some losers truly despise Floyd. Invest time into hating him. Someone they've never met. Its hilarious to me to be honest.

This is the only "Opponent" Floyd Mayweather Jr. will NEVER be able to defeat!!

Haters are always going to exist, no matter what you do. The easiest way to fail in life is to try to make everyone love you. There is always going to be someone who wants you to do something different from the way you’re doing it, so just know that someone is always going to hate you for achieving your goals.

    This content is protected

Floyd Mayweather has more haters than you can imagine, primarily because he’s so great at what he does. When you rise above the fray, you naturally attract the attention of those who either envy you or find it insulting that you’re allowing your blessed light to shine. If you don’t have any haters, then you’re not doing something right. Haters become fixated on successful people the way flies are attracted to ****. So, expect to get a few haters as you rise.

Many times, people are jealous because your success reminds them of their own inadequacies. You’re on point and doing your thing, and they’re kicking themselves for not being disciplined or courageous enough to achieve their own objectives. So, when someone doesn’t respond to your good news the way you’d like, just realize that your success is probably not the problem; it’s that seeing you succeed may be hurtful.

Haterology can be like a grease fire in your kitchen: the more water you put on it, the larger it grows. You can destroy haterology the same way you kill the grease fire: you smother it. By taking attention away from the hater, you help them to realize that you’re too strong or too busy to worry to about what they’re saying. Most of them eventually go away after that.

Show your emotional maturity by forgiving those who hate you. After you succeed for a while, they’ll eventually jump on the bandwagon and give you props like everyone else. They may, however, be secretly praying that you fail, so you’ve got to stay on point. Jealousy is a natural emotion and they may need time to work through some of their own issues, but those issues have nothing to do with you.

Notice that Floyd Mayweather, a man with millions of haterologists, almost never acknowledges his haters unless he has to. Instead, he simply responds by being passionate about his role of empowering bringing attention to the sport of boxing around the world. He loves what he does so much that his desire for greatness overwhelms any force that gets in his way. You should pursue your goals with a similar amount of passion.

    This content is protected

Life is too short for you to spend all your time worried about what other people think. If all you’re doing is responding to critics, you can’t complete your life’s work. Deal with haters if they get in the way, but your energy should always be invested in something positive.

    This content is protected

Sometimes the biggest hater in the world is the one we see in the mirror. There’s self-hate, in which you fill your mind with defeatist thoughts that keep you from chasing your dreams. Then, there is the part of you that gets jealous of other people when they get something that’s rightfully yours. Avoid carrying this venom in your heart, and always remember that positive energy rises, and negative energy sinks. Don’t let internal poison destroy you.
