Donaire landed some good shots that hurt Rigo. Plus Rigo barely punched back while he was running.

 

Terrible scorecard. How can you give Rigondeaux more than one round?

Donaire got the 10-8 round with the knockdown in the 10th. I gave him one other round to finish with a 117-110 Rigondeaux score. I couldn't imagine giving him more than 2 beyond the 10-8. That would mean that to me, the closest you could have this fight within reason is 116-111.

 

They both have their own styles.

 

Some of the rounds were extremely close. In the close rounds Rigo did all the running, that's why I scored them for Donaire.

 

The 12th round was the only round Rigo clearly won and in that round Donaire got a thumb in the eye, that's why he couldn't see.

 

More like a first in his eye. That was a craking punch by Rigo which basically killed the fight off there and then and had Donaire on run.
