It's all about how he makes 160. If he's 75% of his normal self, he should KO Floyd. But if he's a dead man walking like DLH/Pac, than he will probably lose a UD.

He's not fast enough to catch Floyd. He is craft in the way he brings his straight right, but Floyd won't be there for it.

I don't think the fight takes place. The Physical advantages Hop would have are huge.

    Hopkins 6'1" 75" reach +Rehydration weight.

    Mayweather 5'8" 72" reach Top In-Ring weight 153 lbs.

Hopkins = 5" in height, 3" reach, 15-20lbs in weight
Mayweather = 12 year age advantage

I would prefer to see Money fight Kirkland or Angulo rather than this....

Hopkins is the only fighter that can come back down to 160, with the help of Mackie Shilstone & his own dedication & work ethic, I'd bet on him making the weight without any problems.

hopkin is what? 48? imagine trying to cut weight at that age... gifted or not physically he has always been in the best shape possible and thats what has led him to be so dominant during his LONG CAREER. cutting all the way down to 160 would be a huge problem for him... he is only mentioning floyds name because he is 48 years old.. he will retire soon and he wants his cash out

its also distracting from the fact he wont face the dangerous guys in his division

    Hop's can't make 160lbs & still be effective at this age/stage.
(This fight is a pipe dream)

Hopkins is one hell of a chess player. But he will get beat to the Punch againt another chess master. And he will loose a UD. Drain or not he gets beat.

Says who? He fought Pascal and Cloud and then fought his MANDATORY. Nothing in Hopkins career esp. recently would suggest he wouldn't fight Kovalev Stevenson and so on...

Hopkins is crazy enough to attempt to make 160 at this very late stage of his career and i think he could pull it off but the examples of going down in weight havent be good so i doubt it would go well for him, but i doubt hes serious about that even if he was Mayweather wouldn t move up to 160 to fight him, say what you will about Mayweather but hes not dumb he knows that a fight with Hopkins would be a no win situation for him, if he wins he just beat an old fighter if he loses he had to live with the embarrassment of losing to a guy that almost 50 years old. I think Hopkins will be trying to get a fight with Froch next.

I disagree. Only b/c Bhop appears to be very smart and humble w/ his moiney as well as being a partner in Golden Boy, I think he just thinks he can beat FLOYD. Which I will say if they did fight at 160, it would be an intriguing chess match. With that bing said, Floyd would be too much athletically for BHop to really get too him at this stage.

People give Floyd **** for fighting guys younger then him. They are "past prime"

got **** for facing DLH whos only 4 years older than him.

Gets **** for fighting Canelo for being too green. even though hes been a pro for 8 years, and is 13 years younger.

If he fights B-Hop, and dominated. they'd never let it go.
