WTF is going on in boxing in OZ.Has it always been this corrupt and dodgy? Where is the Commission,who should be protecting the fighters and ensuring the promoters live up to their obligations and at the same time protecting the ticket paying fans from fraud. Due to legislation, there's a limit what Commissions in each State are allowed to do. Many moons ago, New South Wales Authority required promoters to lodge 5k (I think) bond to cover any unpaid bills. But, when it was lumbered with bills way in excess of that, Sports Minister at the time, promptly had that requirement removed.

So Bennett was either joint promoter , on a promotion where the lead fighter baled because he got never got paid , or Bennet was paying out of his own pocket for his opponent , and bringing in someone to beat him , ALL STINKS TO ME
Whatever the situation, Bennett's reputation is pretty much gone, even if this latest issue is untrue.
