People who bring up size all the time.... meh, haven't a clue. 215 and 245 might look worlds apart, but it isn't. A 220lb man can rag doll a 250lber.....size doesn't equate to functional strength, especially at heavyweight..... not to mention intensity, heart, aggression, will, desire, courage, killer instinct, speed, power, agility, ring IQ, oh and this little thing called skill/ability. There are many of the so called undersized heavies from past eras who would do just fine today, especially when you look at the competition outside of the klits......
Smaller fighters from the past knew how to BOB and WEAVE....they'd have no trouble from those fragile Klit brothers.
So what? This is boxing...no need to cry over name-calling. Whatever he called Vitali he'd back it up in the ring.
Vitali would HUMBLE Ali. Ali just wouldn't know how to cope with him and Vitali's power would SHATTER Ali's glass jaw. A glass jaw that Henry Cooper exposed.
Maybe glass is the wrong word, but it was vulnerable. As a B-Level CRUISERWEIGHT in Henry Cooper proved. Cooper knocked Ali SENSELESS. Everybody knows it. The only reason Ali stayed in the match was because he and his team had to CHEAT.
Not really. All people remember Cooper for is knocking Ali down, people like to think Ali cheated because it gives Cooper's career some meaning. Ali had one of the best chins of all times, he proved it against the likes of Sonny Liston, Joe Frazier, George Foreman, Earnie Shavers, etc. Corey Sanders, a big underdog KO'd Wladimir Klitschko.
So using smelling salts to clear his head and deliberately worsening a tear in the glove to give Ali time to recover ISN'T cheating? atschatschatsch
Ali stood up to hellacious shots from foreman, shavers, frazier, and took a total drubbing as an inactive old man from Holmes without dropping. His chin is legit. Lewis had vitali on ***** street but that doesn't mean his chin sucks. He quit against byrd but no one will be stupid enough to say he has a glass shoulder. **** happens. A one time occurence doesn't erase an entire career of consistent durability.
He had a tear in his glove. But over the years it didn't matter, people wanted to look for a weakness in Ali so they came up with B.S for that fight.
Vitali would not K.O Ali,it's almost insane to think like that.worn and past his prime ali take everything what prime foreman could give and was still standing.i think there is not many people on planet earth who could take such punishments.and if we are talking about prime ali then i say it would be easy win for ali, maybe on points or stopped by cuts.could also be late t.k.o for ali, vitali's stamina would not hold up in the later rounds. So prime ali easy win,and past his prime ali winning after going trough hell first.vitali would win only way past his prime version of ali.maybe after thrilla in manilla i would give vitali 50/50 chance.and everybody knows why.
