I was on Facebook the day after the Mayweather Vs Canelo fight.

There was a thread asking if Floyd was the GOAT?

I joined the thread, and as you can imagine, it was full of casuals who don't know anything about boxing.


There was this one guy who came on (he was being deadly serious) and said:


"I just wish that Joe Calzaghe hadn't retired. Then there might have been the possibility of seeing Floyd fight Joe, to see who really was the GOAT."

I ended up debating with this kid regarding Robinson, Hearns and Leonard etc. He told me that they were good fighters, but they'd lost and Floyd hadn't, so Floyd had to be better than them, and the GOAT.
