What the hell's happening here? Is this a family feud?

I refuse to believe that you're not both related.

    BatTheMan/Dailey,

    :good

    Ha! You're a fantasist.

    This is comedy gold.

'Kohl must have been happy. He is looking forward to a lucrative offer to send his cash cow Stateside.'

    Really??

He was looking forward to hearing Kerry Davis's offer so much, that he purposely ignored all of his attempts to make contact.

Let me try one last time, to get this through to you.

Kerry Davis's proposal of the double header, was only faxed through to Kohl, BECAUSE Kohl was IGNORING Davis's attempts to make contact.

    Do you think that's professional?

Do you think that wasn't an insult to Kerry Davis and Brad Jacobs?

    Let me get this straight.

Purposely ignoring calls wasn't an insult? But the faxed offer, because of that, was?

    Right.

Roy made it clear from the outset that he didn't want to go to Germany. He didn't mess anyone around.

I don't know, that was up to DM to decide.

    But these are the facts:

Again, Roy made it crystal clear that he didn't want to go to Germany.

Dariusz said he was willing to go to America.

Kohl said that if Roy didn't want to go to Germany, then HBO had to make them a good offer to go to America.

But again, Davis tried to arrange a meeting to discuss figures to get the ball rolling, but Kohl wasn't interested.

So it was all a ploy so that Roy could end up with them?

I don't need a source. Just use your common sense. It's absurd to think that HBO would have gone to the trouble and expense of bringing DM to America, to introduce him to the American fans, to hype a fight between him and Roy, without there a being a guarantee afterwards.

Do you seriously think that Kohl would have taken DM to America, to fight on a double header, without a guarantee afterwards?

Are you suggesting that DM may have gone over and fought on the double header, but may not have got Roy afterwards?

It's you who keeps mentioning that DM could fight lucrative bouts in Germany, and you're right.

So again, if DM and Kohl had've agreed to appear on the double header, do you think they'd have missed out on those lucrative fights in Germany, WITHOUT a guaranteed shot at Roy afterwards?

    It's ridiculous!

As above. You're just being silly. We're talking about what would have been a huge fight, with two great fighters, fighting on HBO, for millions of dollars.

How could he have been 'The Man' when he had no claim to the WBC, and he'd not beaten Roy, who'd beaten common opponents far easier, and who was considered the best fighter in the world?

Well you should have done your homework, before listing the 13 fighters. You ridiculed Roy's opposition, and asked why he didn't instead fight those 13 DESERVING guys.

    Go and read my analysis.

Again, two fighters from the list DIDN'T even fight at Roy's weight.

    So how were they deserving?

How were the other four fighters that I've mentioned deserving?

    You can't answer me.

Six fighters from the list weren't deserving.

You can't criticise Roy for fighting Pazienza, Byrd and Lucas, and then question why he didn't instead fight the likes of Ray Close and Iran Barkley.

    It's a joke!

I know exactly what your point was, and you failed.

I've PROVEN quite clearly that the list wasn't in anyway objective.

    How could it have been?

Questioning why he didn't fight guys at 175, while he was at 168?

Questioning why he didn't fight the deserving Ray Close, a guy who'd only had ONE fight at 168 while Roy was there, which was a LOSS to Chris Eubank?

    Standing in a hole?

    You are arguing against science.

The David Sears fight at 170, was his lightest weight since turning pro.

That was just ONE fight out of 27.

Why are you arguing against Mackie's figures?

If that was the lightest he'd ever been as a pro, and he'd had to lose 8 pounds of actual muscle to get there, with only a body fat percentage of 4.6%, then how could he have lost another ten pounds??

    1. How could he have managed it?

    2. Why would he have tried to?

    Stop being silly.

You must have mentioned Larry's interview about 5 times.

Why don't you tell us what happened after the interview?

    Oh the irony! Ha!

You can't be serious, asking for a source that they would have been a guarantee after the double header?

If you're seriously questioning whether there would have been one, then what you're saying is, if Kohl had've agreed to the proposal, then they may have got on a plane from Germany without the guarantee of a fight afterwards?

    Ha! I don't think so.

    You're just being argumentative.

I've provided many links since I've been a member, but Bat's just being silly, asking for something that he knows doesn't exist, but what wouldn't have been necessary anyway.

    Nope.

Stats are great for dates, weights, rankings and history, but they don't ever allow for circumstances.

Let me try this alternate and final approach to see if you just might understand:

Why do you think that Spinks took off 5 lbs (alleged) muscle when he didn't have to?
