Gennady Golovkin's trainer Abel Sanchez who was also former coach of WBO World Champion Sergey Kovalev said that Kovalev was afraid or had too much respect towards GGG. That was 2 months ago.

This Abel Sanchez dude probably wacks off to GGG's protector after a training session.
(Loves him some GGG) j/k Golonation...

Cool to see a trainer have so much confidence in their fighter.

"Golovkin like and does not look very brutal, but what are his punches! Frankly, was stunned when his last opponent Grzegorz Proksa found the strength to reach the fifth round. I should not just standing with Golovkin in pairs and know very well the power of his fists. He hits like a sledgehammer. Here's a boxer, which I really like. It has a great future." - Sergey Kovalev

Hmm does it? Loeffler told HBO they would accept a Kovalev fight, but I'm skeptical. :bart

i highlight it has a great future, meaning to emphathize IT, which is quite disrespectful, but hes a russian with basic english skills so we'll let him off.

Haha yeah you really have to extrapolate and change a couple words in every sentence for it to make sense... same with Golovkin.

This is life, I want big fights.

Kovalevis too big for GGG. Plain and simple. GGG is 31 and at/near his physical prime. No way he fights at 175-where his opponents will be fighting at 185-190+. Sure he can punch, but taking a punch from a bigger fighter is a whole different story..

ppl seem to forget that gg and bute fought in the same ams division...bute is now in the 175 division at pro

ggg also claims he trains and spars with cruisers and heavys, and also claims to hurt them good....

i think gg can move to 175. but against kovy would be a really tough match
