The last time trainer Robert Garcia sent one of his fighters into a ring with Pacquiao, Margarito was reduced to a pulp, ice packs covering his battered body and one of his eyes permanently damaged.

“Three years ago, we had a big opportunity with Antonio Margarito,” Garcia said. “I hate to say it, maybe I wasn’t as prepared as I am now.”

While Garcia agrees there are similarities in the forward-fighting styles of good friends Margarito and Rios, he says he’s optimistic the outcome will be different because of changed circumstances.(tactics)

Of course he can. The odds are against him but when fists are flying anything can happen. Atleast Rios isn't washed up like DLH, Margarito and Mosley were when Pac fought them.

    Anyone can win any fight.

    But no.

    5% chance for Rios.

In boxing anything can and will happen. Pacquiao has all kinds of advantages, more angles, more speed and more experience. Not to mention being a southpaw. However, I still feel that this fight is Rios if he wants it. I have never seen Brandon so motivated. He is hungry and has something he wants to prove. I know the Rios family well. They are very strong willed and determined. If Pacquiao cannot hurt Brandon. I mean really hurt him then Manny is in for a very long night.

Yes I would. I didn't see his last fight but when he fought Alvarez he had nothing on his punches anymore. Even Steward mentioned that he was just jingling them out there.

For the record I don't think Rios will win, he is a really good inside fighter but Pacquiao is one of the most difficult guys to trap on the ropes. I'm just saying who knows sometimes in boxing? For all we know Pacquiao is going to come out looking to prove his ability to take a punch and get in a tear up and at that point anything can happen.

It all depends on what Pacquiao shows up.

I don't think much of Rios, especially at 147 where he has never once fought, but I will say that I'd pick him over Mosley on the thoughts of volume punching and Mosley's performance against Cano.

PAC is so overrated. Rios is going to come at him hard. Rios is much stronger, bigger, harder hitter (especially at 147), and a lot more heart and will. If PAC doesn't do something in the first 2 rounds, he is done. PAC will need the referee in his pocket.

This is a fight I want to see. The reason I wans to see the fight is to show that Rios is a complete bum and his mouth gets him fights nothing more!!!
