Ian Gardner went the distance but basically ran for most of the fight. Ouma went toe to toe and paid the price in the end. Definitely Ouma; GGG wasn't at his best, but just dug in and kept on trying to crank up the pressure - what it did show is that he can take it to the trenches if need be. Surprisingly the Amar Amari fight although not close on the cards was a bit of a scrappy battle too, like GGG wasn't used to someone with a tight defence, perhaps due to his amateur background.
According to some, Stevens can't be beaten at 160 lbs., so I will wait until then. Golovkin has really not had much of a test, but that's because he makes it look so easy.................
