The hype behind this guy would be astounding. We'd be hearing that he "beat every man he ever faced" and is top 4 p4p. What a relief that Ward washed away the hype with an excellent display of boxing SKILL.
Froch is still hyped because he is a world level fighter with a very entertaining style. The loss to Ward does not hurt Froch's reputation at all. Froch is the clear #2 SMW in the world. A great achievement.
hard to imagine a boxing fan that doesn't like Froch. The guy is fun to watch and has a great resume. Sure he's not the slickest, but hell, not everyone can be (nor should they be).
I am not a Ward fan but he literally destroyed this Polak .. just awesome to watch and probably the biggest schooling in boxing history. There is still a hype about this bums chin but only because he faced other bums, past prime boxers or a featherfisted Ward. Anyway, thank you Andre for destroying Froch and please don't make a rematch .. you deserved better opponents than this joke!
I agree. However that doesn't stop people. More people hate Chad Dawson than like him and that dude has a list of fighters faced that makes your average top 10 mainstay look like a tomato can crusher.
Why is everyone so inclined to make a remark on Froch's Polish ancestry? Is it with the intent to upset the British board members? If Ward didn't completely shut Froch out, there would have been calls for an immediate rematch at a venue not located in the United States. More namely somewhere in the U.K. due to Froch and his fans urging and pleading for retribution against a man they felt didn't deserve the nod. This is just my take. I don't actually know if this is how it would have transpired.
