Lewis was considered uncharismatic and boring during his prime. Sound familiar?

Lewis sold PPV throughout his career. You dont sell PPV if you are as boring as Wlad.

Yes, it is.....but when you have to "not be hit" solely by holding, leaning, throwing, it is not boxing.

he sold PPV because he fought Holyfield and Tyson in the States where both were popular. It have ZERO to do with Lennox.

The trouble is he's a big man with all the physical advantages who fights scared and is terrified of being hit. His brother is the same. It doesn't make for exiting fights.

No he didn't. Holyfield and Tyson sold PPVs. Lewis (on his own, without a big name) never did.

Lewis never broke 500k without a name opponent.

    He did:

    350k against Grant
    420k against Tua
450k against Rahman in the rematch

Those are not even close to big numbers. :rofl:patsch

He's boring because he has advantages in size and skills in nearly every fight and chooses to fight an extremely safety first approach. I blame it on his losses to Sanders and Brewster where he lost his confidence to take chances and give the majority of fans what they want to see. Before that he was much more aggressive and pleasing to watch. He keeps beating the best available though and there is a lot to be said for that and his longevity. He's an ATG, there is no denying that. But he's in my opinion the most boring to watch amongst them.

Of course he fights scared, watch him. His whole reputation as a fighter and warrior is based on 6 losing rounds to Lennox Lewis. To be fair he went into the trenches that night other than that he's no different from his brother.

I like to criticize Vittles but you can make a very good case he fought with heart and balls in the Sanders fight.

In a nutshell; he likes to hold waaaaaaay more than most Heavyweights (and all HWs love to hold).
-He would rather lean on someone than throw a combination at them.
    -He is terrified of exchanges.
-He's very aware of his size advantages.

This can be said of most of the division today, its why is so bad. Seems heavyweights today would rather do these things than work for a win and take some chances. That said...with his advantages in size and skills one should expect more from the heavyweight champion.
