Get the **** out of here you absolute troll, you completely dismiss his performance against Sergio by saying he was the bigger man,the ring was wet and Serg was injured. If Martinez was in Murray's backyard I might have some sympathy but he was the home fighter and would have been given every opportunity to make sure everything was to his advantage,in the end Sergio Martinez was given a gift decision at home against a guy he should have beaten and you call Murray lucky? If he was injured he should never have taken the fight and your bigger man excuse is absolute trash Sergio has beaten much bigger men than Murray in the past.Macklin beat Sturm and Murray lost bla bla bla,Murray basically beat up the guy that knocked Macklin out.If those two ever fight you better not be stupid enough to put money on Mack because he's damaged goods,Murray will send him into retirement.

I don't know where you guys get the impression that I hate Murray. I do not dismiss his achievements...he has achieved a lot...did very well in Argentina etc
(Even he admitted himself that he lost that one)
I'm delighted for every bit of success the guy enjoys.
I'm just trying to put a bit of reality on the situation.

Murray is big and strong, has a very good guard and good basic boxing skills. This combination of skills makes him very hard to beat I know.
    But after that......???
He is one paced, cannot go thru the gears, is very wooden ....plodding and predictable, doesn't make adjustments quick enough, hasn't got a great engine, and surprisingly for such a huge middleweight he is not a really big puncher.

I think a high work rate fit swarmer, like Macklin or Even Geale could expose him....
Or a really good boxer obviously...like a fit Sergio a fit pirog or a speed merchant like HNN or BJS could do him on points..even Barker has a good chance against Murray ....
But he is a contender and another good middle is always welcome..

Anyway glad ye are enjoying my posts guys...always happy to share the knowledge..:)

Ok let's forget about the Sergio fight for now.

The only fight valid for comparison purposes among the British/irish middles is that Macklin and Murray fought "the same" Felix Sturm. The two fights were only months apart.
    Again Murray was lucky.
There is no denying that Murray clearly lost that one.
Macklin did much better against the same Sturm that Murray fought.
When faced with an injury free man his own size Murray lost.
Take an objective look at how they both performed against Sturm.
Clearly Macklin is the better of the two.

So why rate Murray above Macklin?

Clearly Macklin is the better of the of the two?

Your only as good as your last fight mate and last time we seen Macklin he was rolling around the floor in the third round,he's been knocked out three times already and doesn't look to have the goods at world level, that performance against Sturm was more than 2 years ago get over it.On the back of Murray and Mack's last fights Murray is definately the favourite.

Very much agree with these assessments on Murray as well as on the Martinez fight. It also seems his own managements agrees with them as well. Outside of Sturm and Martinez, they haven't put him in with a top 50 MW in his whole career. Even now, with all his hype from the Martinez fight they are being cautious with who they let him fight. Turning down Golovkin, Chavez, and Quillin for Garth Wood.

If you would just stop trying to be a tough guy all the time you would realise "me watching Gomez" is not irrelevant to this conversation.
The point about Gomez is that even all time greats suffer crushing defeats without it damaging their legacy.
Even Jack Dempsey got kod in one by a fireman....

It is true Macklin doesn't gel with trainers for any length of time. Maybe he would have been better off if he had a good long term trainer.

So you think Barker would beat Macklin. I disagree. It doesn't matter anyway, barker is not fighting Mack, he is fighting Sturm.

So come on then, give us your brilliant analysis of the Sturm v Barker fight....how will it go?

Murray IMO is top 3 MW in the world only GGG IMO beats him for sure, in a neutral venue i think he now beats Sergio he beats Qullin, JCC he is real quality hope Barker fights him if he beats Felix

JCC is real quality ? Really ? He won't do 160 again and will struggle at 168.

Sturm Barker will go to the score cards that's how it will go,if it's razor thin Sturm will get the nod Barker has to look very very dominant if he's gonna get the decision. You seem to think Sturm takes it,have you actually watched Felix Sturms last three fights or are you just talking out of your arse again?

Talk about arses...you want to be careful of getting splinters in yours with that analysis! ....talk about sitting on the fence!

Clearly YOU haven't seen much of sturms recent fights. There is no need to look very very dominant against Felix these days.
Murray Geale and Soliman didn't, and it didn't hurt them on the cards, did it?
Interestingly, felix finished his last opponent with a left hook to the body......same shot Geale came within one second of stopping Barker with..

It is felix who will have to dominate. I think he will.
I will probably post a more detailed breakdown of the fight closer to fight night.
    Can you wait that long?
