    Round 12

Afolabi is hurling both arms up in pickaxe motions, as though slinging a sandbag over each shoulder. Janik is flitting back on his toes, covering up to catch shots, then diving in and hooking a couple of times before clinching and mauling. Ugly round. Afolabi is exhausted. Janik jabs with Afolabi and then pulls straight out, caught by a right hand. flurry by Janik standing in. Afolabi repeatedly slams over the top with right hands, but Janik stands firm and keeps punching.

    10-9 Janik

7-5 Janik. Nice finish from both fighters... Afolabi just didn't work enough.

Ola is the far better fighter, but I'm not sure I'd give him the win

Olawale, I love you, lad, but you're a ****** in terms of ring IQ.

...and this isn't the first time.

That was a v good fight

Both were v tired. I think Janik may have pinched it but its close, could be a draw.

Ola just seemed really sluggish in the champioship rounds. I thought it was a conscious choice to save his energy, but who knows...maybe he just didn't have his conditioning tonight. I don't think he had enough leeway on the cards to relax like that when it looked like he could've possibly put Janik away via corner retirement or stoppage if he turned the heat up.

Ola will forever have that sparring partner mentality, and that's why he'll never capture a major belt :-(

+1. He always puts on good fights, but I think he missed the mark tactically tonight.

Missed the first half but it sounds like Afolabi did better early, damn tho, if Janik had had a little more steam left in 11 or 12, he coulda finished it.

Afolabi needs to work on that stamina.
