Maybe they'll put it on Showtime or CBS. That way the whole world can watch Mayweather KO Khan! lol

If they hyped Guerrero and Ortiz, they can hype anyone.

Well, there are many posters on these forums who in the past couple days have very passionately stated that Pacquiao vs. Provodnikov is the fight to be made for Top Rank over Pacquiao vs. Bradley II. Their argument is solely based on the entertainment value for a fight.

I would hate for those people to be hypocrites and say Mayweather/Khan isn't good when clearly it would make for one of the more entertaining fights around WW for Floyd.

    ---

But I'm not one of those people.

So my opinion is that Floyd vs. Khan shouldn't be made because there are over 10 fights out there at WW that would be better for Floyds' legacy, although many can't happen for promotional reasons and some of them are like Khan in having practically no experience at WW (Pacquiao, Bradley, JMM II, Guerrero II, Broner, Alexander, Maidana, Brook, Karass, Garcia, Matthysse).

They didn't need to hype them really.

Guerrero's fight with Berto was entertaining enough to generate some hype along with a solid proven resume (if you don't feel than please familiarize yourself and realize he's got a better resume than 90% of the boxers who grace top 10 divisional rankings).

Ortiz fight could hype itself easily. Ortiz was fresh off taking Berto's undefeated record in a FOTY caliber battle. That in addition to his whole recent career archives showing him being in nothing but action fights (Nate Campbell fight probably the one exception; Ortiz still KD'd him).

Did Ortiz or Guerrero have any wins over anyone in the top 10 in the previous 2.5 years before facing Mayweather?

    It isn't the same. Fact.

This cannot be hyped or marketed in any way.

Khan was destroying Garcia until a sucker punch.

Amir would beat Mayweather, i'd put the house on it.

It simply cannot be made until Khan fights somebody ranked in the top 10 at least. Until then it is unmarketable.

 And whats your excuse for the Prescott KO, "that jab would have wobbled anybody":rofl

What about Khans last two fights? Got dropped by some feather fisted novice from the division below him and then scraped past a shop worn Diaz.

The only reason for the Mayweather fight happening is that Mayweather wants a KO win on his record, which he would surely get.

Shut up Darni, even you know that's bull****. He was flopping around the ring for 2 and a half rounds against Garcia, and it happens again next time. He looked like Bambi on ice ffs.

What's the excuse for getting dropped by Diaz? I thought he was going to be much stronger at his new weight?

Khan's last relevant win was nearly 3 years ago, I wish people would stop thinking he's on an elite level. An Elite fighters last relevant win shouldn't be 3 years ago.

Hatton beat Malignaggi better, and we all know why Khan did so well against him (hint hint he couldn't knock out a wank).

Khan fans also seem to just completely ignore the fact that Zab wasn't knocked out he was complaining about a low blow. Also if you think Khan beat Zab better than Kostya you are an utter fool. Oh wait I forgot you only started watching boxing when Khan turned pro didn't you.

Furthermore Lee Purdy was a late replacement for Alexander, his comparative Khan opponent would be McCloskey who was Khans first choice opponent, not a late replacement.

And before you go on about people criticising Khan as being haters maybe you could take your head out of his arse and post objectively for once and maybe people wouldn't need to come along correcting your bull****.

The "fact" doesn't still stand as it was never a fact to begin with it was a very ill informed and incorrect opinion.

Khan is a punk with no balls otherwise he would be fighting Alexander to earn the right.
