He should expose Wilder but no way this bum takes this risk .. Perez is a boxer who can beat everyone in this sport.
He has shown he has very good punch resistance and can brawl (like many other "Irish" guys ). He did get tagged a lot though, so I'm not sure if he can outpoint better skilled boxers as Mago who basically is just a seek and destroy kinda fighter like Arreola. But he has good power, a chin and can box a little... that makes him a solid contender already.
Good 10 round match with Abdulsalamov tonight. Both exchanged some heavy punches. I'd like to see them against other opponents as the HW division needs many more contenders as it had in the past.
Great fight from Perez...Knew he was good but he really surprised me in this fight with a very tough opponent in Abdusalamov who showed tons of heart. Mago was probably injured since the first round.
Perez has CHEEEEN. he took some bombs tonight. also, it was my first look at Mago. and he doesn't look as bad as i was led to believe. i mean, his stamina isn't great but, he's a dangerous guy to be in the ring with, that's for sure. i think both can cause some trouble at Heavy.
Ideally a fight versus Arreola or Stiverne. Unlike some other prospects, Perez has stepped up and deserves to fight at that next level of proven contenders.
I'll respectfully disagree a bit. The broken nose from the first round, and broken hand definitely would have affected his stamina and activity. He threw a lot of leather for big man, while taking a lot in return. I hope he can come back, as I think he and Perez are definitely good for the sport.
Perez is a ****ing beast, i said it from day one hes legit way too much skills at hw plus an iron chin, this guy could actually be the next big thing because he didnt even get wobbled by shots that woulda put anyone down
