What is it with fighters from Brooklyn and quitting? (Judah, Tyson, Stevens, etc) :huh

Most overrated fighters ever are from Brooklyn.

Mago had more reason to quit, I wanted him to quit due to the damage he was taking. He was taking really bad punishment which would've warranted his corner calling quits.

You cant say the same about stevens, not any point in the fight need I feel he was taking too much damage. He just stopped fighting back at one point, in the end of the 8th round where I felt the ref would have no choice but to stop due to his lack of fight.

But that was just him being soooo negative that his main focus was to just block and survive for as long as possible. But he couldn't even do that.

He wasted my time and those who paid good money to go and see him put on a show in his hometown.

How exactly did he quit when his corner stopped the fight?

Apparently allowing your corner to throw in the towel while you're slumped down on your stool nodding sheepishly in agreement with the decision is going out on your shield :silly

There are apparently some sick f****rs here, who'd rather see brave man brutally killed in the ring, rather than have the fight stopped. Stevens was totally outclassed and he knew it, yet fought on. His corner and the referee stopping the fight was the only right decision and should be applauded!

So what if the guy was spewing garbage before the fight. He paid for it and lost.
He put on a decent performance against the best MW in the world right now and his corner made a good decision in stopping the fight.
No one deserves to suffer career or even life altering damage for some stupid trash talk.

You'd think people would have a little more respect for fighters when Frankie Leal passed away only a few weeks ago and Magomed Abdusalamov had to get put into a coma for his own safety.

Yeah you'd think stevens would've thought about those fighters dying in the ring before posting those sick images of ggg's coffin and talking about body bags.

I get that and I agree with you. Stevens said some dumb **** and got beaten up. All I'm saying is there's no need to start calling the guy a ***** when he got up from a brutal knockdown, had a decent couple of rounds between 4 to 6 and succumbed to Golovkin's power and superior boxing ability.

Stevens took some serious damage, a real quitter wouldn't have made it past round 2.

Oh, I see, so you've never been in that position, have you?

For what it's worth, hypothetically speaking, if I we're put in a position where I had to run into an orphanage that was on fire and full serial killers, so that I could save a kitten, I believe I would take a deep breath and kick down the door. I've never been in the situation myself, I just feel like I would....cause you know, I'm awesome.

Oh, but don't you see? Fighters are supposed to care about entertaining casual fans like DoubleEdge rather than their own physical well-being. After all, he knows their physical limitations better than they do.:nut
