Ruiz was being hit by Jones when he was moving forward and Jones was moving backwards.. This had a lot to do with Ruiz not wanting to move forward anymore, and Ruiz had respect for Jones power, and had no answer to his speed...

Saying Roy had zilch to do with beating John Ruiz is laughable.:patsch

And is ultimate Jones hatred of the highest order.

Bat is very stubborn and he asks silly questions like you do.

I don't pass opinions of as facts.

You just like to say that I do, when you're backed into a corner.

You try and use it as your get out of jail free card, but it doesn't wash.

You're still running with this, ha!

Has it ever occurred to you, just for one second, that Roy was probably the fastest guy Ruiz had fought back then?

Roy's footwork and hand speed made him hesitant.

Norman Stone was slapping him, and screaming "Why the **** are you waiting on this guy Johnny?"

He had a free pass?

He pot shotted and then got out of range before Ruiz could react.

All this happened AFTER Nady told Ruiz he was going to take points which left Ruiz NOTHING to do but stand in the middle of the ring. Do you understand this? Ruiz tied Jones up several times in the first 2 rounds and Nady literally sprinted in to break them up. Jones didn't have to fight out of the clinch like everyone else.

You said Roy had "zilch" to do with it...

You have no credibility when talking about 2 fighters you hate, in Roy Jones and John Ruiz..

I refuse to argue with you over Roy kicking Ruiz' ass.. It happened, Roy won a belt at HW.. Get over it.

There is much more Roy Jones hate in this thread than there is Calzaghe hate...

I wouldn't expect you to understand that though.. You are one of the worst posters I have witnessed in all my years here. Complete garbage.

He would of cut water weight to get down to 160, the same way Pavlik cut 18lbs of water weight to make 160.

Days before the official weigh in he would of restricted his water intake, trained in a sweatsuit or sat in a sauna for hours to dry out. After the weigh in he would of replaced the lost fluid. Him getting down to 160 would not have required him to cut actual body weight. Cotto at 140 came into the ring at 157. Margarito at 147 came into the ring at 160. Hopkins made 160 then came into the ring at 172 lbs

Absolutely not. But it didn't happen the way MindReader said it did. Nady would literally run to break up the clinch. It wasn't all Roy. All Jones did was pot shot he had several rounds where he either:

    A. landed in the single digits in punches

    B. threw in the single digits in punches

Nady made Ruiz a sitting duck. He literally can't do anything but the Jab & Grab. All I have said is Jones did not have to fight the version of Ruiz that everyone else did which is a 100% Fact. Rahman, Oquendo, Holyfield, Golota, Toney, Kirk Johnson, etc had to deal with the illegal Jab & Grab. Roy didn't because of the referee NOT his own doing. There is nothing to debate about that.

You know des. Some guys here are just really thick. I think I'm having one more try a little later to reason with these guys before the special bus picks them up.

    Regards,
    Their dad.

A 190 lbs man with 8% body fat would not of cut body weight to get to 160?:patsch

Simple science Zod, I am surprised to see you arguing this.

And at 4.6% bodyfat, draining the last 10 lbs would not have only been water, there would been some muscle damage.

    July 18 1981: 173.75 lbs

    November 7 1981: 173 lbs

    February 13 1982: 173.75 lbs

    April 11 1982: 172 lbs

    June 12 1982: 173.75 lbs

    September 18 1982: 172.75 lbs.

These are weights before fights with same day weigh ins.

This is the weight of a man walking around at 190 lbs. Yes. That's what these basketcases are trying argue. I don't know when the guy who weighed in on these weights would reach 190 lbs., but that is what they want me and the other sane people, to believe that he did between those fights.

Common sense, which is something these guys lack, would say that Spinks (that is his weights listed above) walks around at about 175 lbs. Remember these weights are same day weights. So it's not like Spinks was drained when he stepped on the scale and he made the LHW limit easy every time. He might have skipped breakfast in the morning, but nothing else.

So now that we have established that Spinks walked around at about 175 lbs, the question now is which division such a weight would translate into under todays weigh in regime.

Well lets check Canelo Alvarez. For Floyd Mayweather, he started camp at about 180 lbs. 30 days before the fight he was 168 lbs and he weighed 152 lbs on the scale the day before the fight. I cannot remember what his fightnight weight was, but I reckon it was close to 170 lbs or a gain of 18 lbs after the weighin.

    That was a lightmiddleweight fighter.

What about the MWs? Martinez is generally considered a small MW and yet he allegedly walks around at 180 lbs give or take. Sturm is a little above that.

Find more examples yourself if you feel like it. Pavlik perhaps. Or JCCJR.

Finally the nitty-gritty: Do you now think it was possible for Spinks to have campaigned at 160 lbs at some point in his career under todays weigh-regime?

    Yes or no?

    Case closed.

    You need to stop now.

You're throwing all logic out of the window.

This is now getting as daft as the 13 guys who Roy missed.
