Clearly choosing the easiest way to a title at 168, way to go JR

...assuming fair judging, outside Mexico. :D (which it will not be, as Bika despite holding the belt will have zero leverage)

Good scrap, Bika will make Jr. Work the entire fight.
IF Chavez aint prepared he will get TKO'd.

A focused Chavez should give us a 50/50 fight with Bika.

    In all honesty, no.

He does get a +4/5 round bonus added to his score that Periban doesn't get, however.

    It finally is?

Well then Jr. ain't getting his Bika fight.

...or he can, but not for a title.

Which makes it horribly stupid and pointlessly risky for him.

I like this fight a lot and hope it happens. With the GBP/Top Rank situation this fight might be unlikely to happen.

Then again, Bika is the WBC champ and the WBC loves them some Chavez so maybe he could get put into a mandatory spot soon and the fight goes to purse-bid.

Also, Bika isn't exactly one of GBP's top draws so maybe they let him defend against Chavez anyways if Top Rank is willing to pay up in hopes that this is one of Chavez's best chances at grabbing a 168 belt.

A fight I would really like to see happen but I'm not really sure it does.

He is, actually...if you mean a walk in Central Park after midnight.

The kind of walk that gets you mugged, roughed up, and hit in the balls.
