ESB has spoken by an almost 4-1 majority Bernard Hopkins slams Slappy Calzaghe.
Lets hope now that the slappies slither back under the rocks they came from under.
Let Slappy Joe self destruct in retirement

    Calzaghe W12 Hopkins.

ESB has spoken about that numerous times as well.

I'm actually surprised the poll is as close as it is.

Esp. because Hopkins continues to defy father time and is continually building his legacy.

I was at that fight ringside among press row 80% of the people I asked said that Hopkins won the fight but lost a political decision. Bernard marches to his own drummer he don't take **** from anyone. He's ruffled so many feathers by refusing to be a yes man that he gets shafted any way they can. Bernard only LEGITIMATELY lost 3 fights
His pro debut, Roy Jones jr 1 ( later revenged) & Chad Dawson. No way in hell did Calzaghe or Taylor really beat him.:patsch:patsch

Sure Hopkins may well have been gassing but the point is Calzaghe made him gas, which I doubt has anything to do with age and more to do with ability when you consider, Hopkins was the stronger down the straight when at Hopkins finishes stronger than 30 year old Murat?
46 year old Hopkins finishes stronger than Pascal at 29 and Hopkins didnt gas against Pavlik in his fight right after the Calzaghe fight and finished stronger than the then 28 year old Pavlik.

But cant call himself the best for definate. Calzaghe can at SMW :smoke

    :good

That 77% dont know the full resume of both
    No alt here

Now what top MWs did Hopkins beat, Holmes? Tito and Oscar were not really top MWs and not as good a win as Eubank or prime Kessler, wins that Calzaghe has to go with the Hopkns win

no calzaghe did not change the year bhop was born in. bhops young lungs wouldn't gass out in round 6

yeah lung power has nothing to do with age, in baileyworld, but its scientififc universal fact everywhere else.

    better

in baileyworld Kessler and retiring eubank are better than atgs yeah

you forgot to write 'schooled you again' after writing lung power has nothing to do with age, btw.

Well Hopkins clearly has the superior resume of the 2. That can't really be disputed, it's not even close TBH.

Had they met in their actual primes, it would've been a very interesting fight to watch. I don't know who would've won it, I tend to think Hopkins would've had a late KO/TKO or it could've been a possible controversial decision. Joe C throws so many punches per round that even if they don't connect, it usually gets the attention of the judges and Hopkins would have to offset Joe's punching volume by nailing him with powerful countershots and fighting inside the pocket and making it a dirty, dirty fight, something Hopkins was always great at doing with opponents.

WOuld've been a very interesting fight had they met in their primes.
