bradley got his ass beat by provodnikov... he was hurt badly at least 20 times in that fight. boxrec does not dictate who fighter of the year is.

golovkin has been dare i say tyson-esque this year.

**** outta here with GGG. His best win was Macklin. Your highlight win is Macklin and you the fighter of the year?

it was a close fight, provo even came out weeks later saying bradley deserved the win.

golovkin had a good year but didn't have any significant win.

Mayweather will likely be most people's first choice and take the award in most boxing publications and websites but I'd also say considering him the only worthy option is nearly as bad as the blind haterad that say his win over Guerrero was nothing because Guerrero is **** and Canelo was at a catchweight.

I'd say quite a few guys have had strong years. In 2011 quite a few fighters on the OP would've won it being that Ward was picked mainly on the basis of his won over Froch alone (who's perhaps 2 best wins hadn't even happened by that stage), I know he beat Abraham but he was damaged goods by that point after what Dirrell and Froch did to him.

I put him on the poll mainly because of the way he dominated the guys he was in with, who weren't spectacular but solid and it's unlikely anybody else would have beat them with such conviction. Not that I'm saying he should win however.

Must admit I'm surprised by the amount of votes he's getting to be honest.

he is the flavor of choice right now...you know how that goes people are high on him...hell im high on him....BUT...Macklin and Stevens makes you fighter of the year? Both of them are the equivalent of Guerro or worse!

Doubt Bradley would have as many votes too if Provodnikov didn't destroy Alvarado a few weeks back- a lot was calling that a bad performance from Timmy.

Mayweather is the first person in..... I don't know when to win the lineal championship in 2 different divisions in the same year.

At first I voted Garcia, but I reconsidered and voted Mayweather

Fighter of the year is Mayweather, hands down. He went uptown and took the zero from the #3 p4p fighter in an outstanding fashion. He schooled the Ghost and left no doubt who the best fighter in the world is. Bradley might be up for fight of the year but that about it.

Let's get real, the only people who can maybe claim they beat a fighter that high up the p4p rankings are possibly Bradley (Marquez) and Rigondeaux (Donaire).

Canelo was #3 and JMM was # 5. Donaire was further down the line. Plus Marquez was no where near his prime. You must be one of those gents having nightmares.:smoke
