It hardly made Pacquiao look bad when he refused it in 2010(if you existed back then), if anything people questioned Mayweather's trash talking and why he would call Pacquiao a cheater out of the blue. They also questioned why he would want to implement a new rule for one fight which further raised more questions about Mayweather's desire to make the fight. Of course all of that is forgotten now because the majority either have a short memory or didn't exist to follow up back then. Even after the blood testing was accepted, took a while but was accepted nevertheless after Mayweather successfully applied it against Mosley, Mayweather demanded more money. Not only that but the venue was also in his favor and whatever else I'm forgetting. Pacquiao wasn't Ortiz nor old Mosley to bow down to that for the payday.

It hardly makes Pacquiao look bad now if you think about it logically. He's coming off a KO loss to Marquez anyway and has nothing to lose anymore, so why would he pass on a possible payday?

Everyone else?, who?, desperate old Mosley and Ortiz?. It's two to three years later that the rest started to follow and Pacquiao is doing so as well.

It wasn't 50 million, it was $40 with all the PPV earnings for Mayweather. When was the last time a fighter demanded 100% of the PPV earnings only to offer a static amount to another equally big name as him?

If you're a Pac fan you would understand that Rios is a come-back fight after a KO rather than indirectly hinting it's a joke fight by referring to him as a "punch bag". I assure you, Rios is definitely better than Ortiz and Guerrero.

He was the P4P#1 fighter and the main man in the sport, he was literally being discussed by everyone following the sport. His PPV earnings weren't far below Mayweather's either. Thanks to StuBoxing's thread, here's a quick copy/paste.

    Floyd Mayweather PPVs

vs Oscar De La Hoya (2,400,000 buys - est. revenue $120,000,000)
vs Ricky Hatton (920,000 buys - est. revenue $46,000,000)
vs Juan Manuel Marquez (1,050,000 buys - est. revenue $52,500,000)
vs Shane Mosley (1,400,000 buys - est. revenue $70,000,000)
vs Victor Ortiz (1,250,000 buys - est. revenue $62,500,000)
vs Miguel Cotto (1,500,000 buys - est. revenue $75,000,000)

    Manny Pacquiao PPVs

vs Oscar De La Hoya (1,250,000 buys - est. revenue $62,500,000)
vs Ricky Hatton (850,000 buys - est. revenue $42,500,000)
vs Miguel Cotto (1,250,000 buys - est. revenue $62,500,000)
vs Joshua Clottey (700,000 buys - est. revenue $35,000,000)
vs Antonio Margarito (1,150,000 buys - est. revenue $57,500,000)
vs Shane Mosley (1,340,000 buys - est. revenue $67,000,000)
vs Juan Manuel Marquez (1,450,000 buys - est. revenue $72,500,000)
vs Timothy Bradley (700,000 buys - est. revenue $35,000,000)

    ------------------

Seriously, does this look far ahead of Pacquiao?. You guys make it sound like Mayweather is fighting someone like Ortiz or Guerrero in terms of PPV buys and star power.

Shut your thick head ass up. The blood testing was never accepted. Be real Scar. Here are the facts.

Everyone including Arum and GBP thought money would be the big issue in getting this fight done.

: Floyd agreed to 50/50 from the start and asked for random blood and urine from the start.

: Team Pac agreed to everything and Floyd signed to fight.

: Team Pac pull away and started asking for cut offs on the blood testing

: They went into mediation and Arum got caught lying and the mediator told everyone that Floyd offered a 14 day cut which was reasonable. You even have Manny on video saying he will do the test just not on the day of the fight. When told by Brian Kenny that he has 2 whole wks without blood testing he said, "that's too close to the fight."

: Team pac walked away leaving Floyd without a fight and then Mosley came through.

" Floyd told them that Manny would not get the same offer and no more cut offs. Also random testing with no cut offs was Floyd's original request which was accepted and later backed tracked by Team Pac.

"Floyd said no more cut offs before Manny fought Clottey and before and after he fought Mosley and even said it post fight. Then you have many wks later after Floyd beat Mosley saying he will do 14 days which was no longer on the table.

Don't be a hypocrite. If its okay for Manny to accept the full testing, back out of that and ask for cut offs then its okay for Floyd to say no more cut offs after manny received a generous offer.

Then they came out saying they agreed to Floyd's demand of no cutoffs only to be caught again on the Manny vs Margo 24/7 saying they wanted a 7 day cut off. F out of here Scar.

Now my honest feelings on the matter is that they are all at fault with Arum being more for me bc despite all the bull**** Arum ruined this fight from happening before Floyd went to jail.

You can bring up the 40 million offer with no ppv if you want but here is the problem with that. It should have never been offered from Floyd bc Shaefer had been calling Arum to start negotiations and even had the mediator call. Instead of Arum negotiating we heard **** like this:

    Why is Shaefer calling me

    Who promotes Floyd

Who will give Floyd his guarantee

Shaefer keeps calling me and they don't promote Floyd

We want the fight in June

May is too soon and Manny has a cut

If Mayweather is going to jail we will take the May date and fight Marquez

Oh Mayweather is available but we don't have enough time bc we want a stadium built.

Falcon Hawk Entertainment will be promoting the fight along with myself and GBP will not be involved. ( Falcon Hawk is Joe Jacksons company and Joe Jackson is broke and has to get money from his ex wife Katherine just to get by) ( Also Arum was going to get Bobby Brown for the national anthem)

All this **** happened before Mayweather called Manny to offer 40million.

Why didn't Manny call Arum and tell him to stop the games and enter negotiations? They are all to blame for this fight not happening and the testing request should never have been an issue from the start. :deal

first off you talking about the 2nd negoations not the first. first was 50 mil, Pac turned it down so Mayweather years later said 40 mil no PPV, thats what happens when u turn down the best deal of your life.

As a Pac fan yes i know this is a comeback fight but Pac has been fighting easy competiton since he beat DLH. All easy fights and Mayweather leftovers pretty much.

Rios is a punching bag and thats why he got the fight. if u dont see that your blind bro!! and Guerrero would box the living crap out of rios so stop.

and expect for answering like a clown, why do you think hes doing it now and not for 50 million and a chance to beat the best fighter of his Era??? U problem cant come up with an answering because it doesnt make sense. I say because Pac ducked the fight, unless he was really jucing and it took him this long to get off of it

Marquez ask for testing in the 4th fight. Pacquiao's camp said no.....and Marquez knocked his ass out cold. Marquez had the better (and undetectable) PEDS.

I am being real which is why I'm going to ask you why Mayweather asked for blood testing for this one fight and why did he follow up that demand with endless name-calling which involves racism and obvious jealousy by labeling Pacquiao a cheater for no reason. Why wasn't Marquez or Hatton required to go through blood testing?. The stuff that happened before Mayweather offered Pacquiao $40 million were circus acts by Mayweather which he later admitted by publicly apologizing for his racial slurs, the videos are out there for you to see, Pacquiao didn't have to apologize for anything.

Fact is, Pacquiao didn't have to bow down to Mayweather's demands at the time and he showed why he didn't have to by remaining active in the ring. He never trash talked nor publicly insulted anyone to get a point across or to try and enforce a demand.

I do agree that they're both at fault and said it numerous times. Though the one I would rather blame more is Mayweather for introducing a new rule for one fight, it wasn't Pacquiao who asked for something completely new to make one fight. As far as I remember they were planning to make the fight first in March or May 2010. Negotiations "seemed" to go well till Mayweather all of a sudden came out demanding blood testing while calling Pacquiao a cheater. For Pacquiao to accept that is like he has something to prove to a dog barking at him when he doesn't need to considering the obvious other options he had. Mayweather didn't exactly come out and ask for these tests in a normal way, he came out asking for them with a plan in mind. Just like Arum played games with Mayweather, Mayweather did the exact same.

Regarding refusing the tests the first time, if you read my previous post I explained rather well why exactly he was turned down. Even the general public didn't side with his pathetic offer back then nor did the media for that matter. That said, Pacquiao was coming off an unexpected demolition of DLH and a brutal second round KO over Hatton. He wasn't exactly Ortiz or Guerrero to bow down to anyone.

Did he actually ever disagree t o the tests or is this something that got said on internet land and suddenly became truth?

I have seen him numerous times saying he WILL test, "any time, any place" on video.

Best deal of his life is to accept a static offer and take absolutely nothing of the PPV earnings in an extremely risky and tough fight?. You do realize that Rios is Pacquiao's first opponent since a brutal KO loss to Marquez, right?. Did you expect him to come back from a brutal KO fighting Mayweather or Golovkin at 160?. Hatton, Mosley, Cotto, Clottey, Concreto at 150, Marquez twice(we know how easy these fights were :rofl) and Bradley are all easy competition?. Sure, whatever you're smoking, keep inhaling.
