I have shown that it's not at all plausible for him to have walked around at 190 during the period I specified. You claim that he between fights puts on 20 lbs of muscle only to start losing it a month after. That is not possible dude.

It was 20 pounds of overall weight.

Mackie said he walked around on average between 187-192 in between fights.

I read some more articles yesterday, there's a few of them.

His average fighting weight at LHW was believed to be 173.

His last fight at the weight was against Jim McDonald on the 6th of June, 1985.

He fought Holmes on Sept the 21st, 1985, and he had an 8 week camp. Spinks says that he started camp at around 200 pounds, and Mackie stripped him down and then built him back up again. He then weighed in for Holmes, at 199 pounds. So in terms of actual weight, there wasn't much difference at all. But his physique and his body fat percentage were completely different.

Now if he started his Holmes camp somewhere between 190-200 pounds, 8 weeks before the fight, that means that his camp started somewhere around the 20th of July. That means that he started camp around 6-7 weeks after the Jim Macdonald fight, and he was around 20 pounds heavier.

So according to both Mackie and Spinks, he could gain around 20 pounds of overall weight within a two month period, which would coincide with the dates of his LHW fights that you posted a few days ago.

I find it all very interesting.

I told all of my family and friends that I was definitely going to win an award last year.

I was convinced that I was going to walk away with the most deluded fanboy of the year award, 2012.

    When I didn't win, I was devastated!

I've told Headbanger that I deserve it. I've put the hours in, arguing with you, Joe.Boxer and Assassin, sometimes while 3am and while I've been on holiday with my girlfriend.

If I don't win anything this year, I think I might call it a day. I've made over 4,000 posts, averaging 7 per day.

I want an award and some dog food.

I need to know the categories, and if I've been put forward for anything.

Is there an award for knowing what a fighter was thinking? Ha!

I have claimed his natural weight when not training is 190 lbs.. and that is a fact, I believe Mackie Shilstone over you..

Is it possible he never stopped training in the months you specified?

    Jones had:

    No Chin
    No Heart
No Plan B in a fight
Was reluctant to take on power punchers

for these reasons I would not pick Jones over many ATG in head to head match ups. He simply would not be able to deal with other ATG's because of these deficiencies.

He wouldn't be fighting Otis Grant or Rick Frazier. He would be fighting other fighters that not only faced better competition than he did but beat them in decisive fashion.

Dude, your favorite fighter is a steroid cheat that quit on his stool against little Chirs Byrd.. Roy has way more heart than Vitali, he would never quit, and still can't quit.
