simple question i hear alot of people on this forum and even FB talk about how after cotto got with roach and destroyed journymen level delvin rodriques that he was new and improved, back to his old ways etc etc

if canelo steps up to the plate and beats him does that increase floyds legacy seeing as more then a few people here were saying floyd will avoid cotto now that his new and improved even though he beat him a year ago?

Dont think Canelo beats Cotto regardless of his trainer

Cotto's bodyshots will slow Canelo down then a left hook to the head will hurt him then he will finish him

Cotto isn't new and improved. He's shopworn, past his prime age and above his prime weight. I've been a huge fan of his for a long time but it be what it be. That said he can still beat Canelo. Canelo has shown an uncanny ability to remain inactive during parts of a fight and cotto can still box. Cotto should take that 10 million and take it to the kid.

I don't think Cotto is a "new" fighter. But, he did look fresher than he has in a while against (the admittedly limited) Rodriguez. But, If Canelo were to dominate or stop Cotto badly, I do agree it would make Floyd's win over Canelo more significant in my eyes. I would retract this statement if Canelo doesn't fight Cotto in the very near future as there would be too many other variables to consider.

Doesn't make a difference, if Cotto losses its because he's aging. Prime cotto whips Canelo

I don't know about being a new fighter but Cotto did improved under Steward and Diaz his experience IQ and a good game plan from Roach could get him the win. I like Alvarez and think he ultimately takes it how he takes it is the bigger question, considering Cotto has only been stopped twice (one to a guy caught cheating 6 months later the other to a guy quite possibly on PEDs) if Alvarez does a demolition job on Cotto there is no way you can't be impressed.

cottos the exact same fighter that wouldve been a +400 against canelo after his trout loss except now well be able to buy alvarez for -250 because miguel is coming off one good win in his last three and all the clueless think that hes now new and improved

i think that canelo is nothing but average but he will have no problem with the faded and undersized cotto

What if Canelo loses? Surely he's done as an attraction, and goes down as a very low grade version of Feroz Vargas

It wouldn't be the first time they overestimated Canelo. Did you really think they knew he'd get embarrassed like that vs Floyd? He did worse than Guerrero.

That said, Cotto is easily the best risk reward fight for him

Cotto has more "New" incarnations than Doritos.
