When did we see Joe take on a big southpaw like the "bummy" Top 10 rated Eric Harding? Or the big powerful southpaw Tarver, that Joe dimissed because just caught a shot Roy at the right time?:huh

Has he ever had a proper debate with anyone on here?

I want to see him in a proper debate.

    Oh yes...

I have seen him in some pretty good debates against Haye fans.. Most of which I agreed with Rico..:yep

I don't have any hate for Vitali.. I just use him to try to put some of Rico's hate for Roy into perspective.. I don't think it works though.

See Loudon I am just posting what DID happen when they fought NOT what woulda, shoulda, coulda happened like you do. Additionally I also pointed out Jones missed a few guys that were readily and easily availiable to him that were savage punchers. Those are Facts. They are not me 'thinking' what happened. Calzaghe schooled and taunted Jones in an embarrassing defeat.

Well perhaps your posts would be better suited for a Jones vs Calzaghe 2008 thread.

This is a thread about Jones - Calzaghe in 2002, most realize Roy Jones was a MUCH different fighter then.. and it would be most likely a much different fight than the one 6 years later, after Roy had been crushed by Tarver and Johnson.

True, there is no fact when thinking about a fight that didin't happen, but I don't understand why you are attacking Loudon for his input on what he believed would have happened.

you have to base it on facts of 2002 ability.

you cant judge ali versus foreman 2 rematch based on his performance against trevor berbick.

in fact maybe you can, but most people would realise the falsity.

    :lol::rofl

They didn't fight in 2002 which was my point all we know is what happened when they did and Jones got schooled. There is no point even discussing 2002.

2002 'ability' doesn't even matter really because it would be ignoring variables that could have happened in the fight such as a cut which has zilch to do with either fighters ability.

They fought and Calzaghe destroyed him. End of discussion.

The way he described it? Absolutely not. Too many variables.

Well Joe isn't knocking Roy out like Tarver did, Roy was faster, and had a lot more power than Joe, Joe was easy to hit with lead rights, and Roy was amazing at throwing them... It is pretty simple really.

I think Calzaghe is just physically outmatched by a younger Roy, who I think was just a superior fighter, ability and resume. It's not a knock on Joe me saying that.

Roy over Joe would have been a big upset in 08..

Joe over Roy would have been a MUCH bigger upset in 02.

How was it an embarrassing defeat, when my two points were factual??

The only person who should have been embarrassed, is Joe.

He laughed in the Setanta Sports studio, saying that Roy was passed his best. He then said that he'd be disappointed if Roy was to be his last fight. He also said that Roy was no longer a great fighter, which he'd mentioned the previous year.

But what happened 3-4 months later?

He personally phoned up Roy and offered him a fight for 50/50. :patsch

How do you like those FACTS?

What have you got to say about that?

What have you got to say regarding Frank W trying to get Joe a fight with Roy in 2006, when Roy was on a THREE fight LOSING streak?

Can't you see a pattern yet?

Do you want me to draw you a picture?

So let's have a quick recap.

In 99, Joe wasn't chasing Roy.

In 2003, he knew what his capabilities were, and unless he got paid the Crown Jewels, he didn't want to risk it.

Three years later when Roy was 0-3, he wants the fight.

The following year he dismisses him as a challenge, saying a fight would be pointless.

Early in 2008, he's not interested in a fight.

Mid 2008, he phones Roy up and offers him 50% of everything.

WHAT DOES THAT SAY TO YOU??

All of the above information is FACTUAL.

Joe's a joker, just like you!

Regarding your other point, who were these savage punchers that were EASILY available to Roy??

Tell me who they were, and how they were easily available?
