    I think that too
Although Alvarez'a combos are nice and has decent head movement at times his low workrate and lack of footspeed will make Cotto catch him alot

    Canelo is just too big.

You don't understand how much difference those two pounds made when he fought Mayweather.

At 154 he will blow up huge on fight night like he has done in the past and steamroll Cotto.

I think he could beat him. Could even get a KO, I'm not too sure about Canelos beard.

How much does Alvarez normally weigh on fight night? 170? He looks like a big dude.

he was 165 against money. 172 against trout, 166 against Mosley. Size wont effect Cotto. But Canelo's Stamina will be even worse, if he balloons again.

His beard is better than Cotto's at least

pillowfisted Floyd had Cotto hurt and on ***** street in the last round

whilst Canelo took Floyd's best punches for 12 rounds and didn't even blink

I don't think i's as simple as that. We've seen Cotto take more big shots from more big punchers.

Floyd may have temporarily buzzed Cotto for a second in the 12th, but he was far from ***** street. ***** street is where Cotto's lightweight brother had Canelo.

The weight didn't matter in that fight. Mayweather was moving like water in that ring. Canelo wasn't going to catch him with the extra weight or not. Plus, he was fighting safe. He fought not to get knocked out.

It mattered enormously. He was slow , flatfooted and couldn't commit to volume for fear of gassing out.
He also had none of the head movement or bob and weave he used against Trout.
He looked like a skeleton on the weigh in.
If you think cutting weight doesn't matter , watch a different sport.

Would you have been so sure of a Cotto win before the loss to Mayweather?
