You could say that when push comes to shove, Lewis wanted Johnson far more than Klit.

All I know is that Lewis was all for Johnson, than the Johnson pulled out, and he got stuck with a Klit. Than when he realized he had to get up for Klit again and not the Johnson he originally wanted, he lost the passion. It happens alot to middle aged men.

Do you want to repeat that a couple dozen more times in slightly different variations? I dont think we've got it yet after you posted it five times in the last ten minutes.

Do think Lewis could have gotten up for a soft Johnson?

you need to get a grip of reality. READ THE EVIDENCE -

1.Lewis never ducked a rematch in his life, and in the 2 rematches he fought he destroyed his opps. THAT IS THE EVIDENCE, THE REALITY.

2.In contrast, BOTH Vitali AND Wlad duck rematches serially and hide in abject fear until their numerous conquerors get beaten, or turn old. THAT IS THE REALITY.

The ONLY thing you can deduce from these evidences is this -

If Lewis had given Vits a rematch after destroying him first time, Vits would have run in fear and tried to get his brother to beat Lewis (we all know how that would have worked out).

How you can work out that Vits wins when the reality dictates THE EXACT OPPOSITE - he would run in fear from a rematch is beyond me. BUt my advice is that you really shouldn't try to argue that black is white.

Lewis dont need no Byrd, don't need to Klit, all he wanted was Johnson.

If he could have just got his hands on that fat Johnson, he would have never retired.

It's the truth. Lewis went a year without Byrd, and realized he could only get motivated for Johnson. They forced Klit in his face and he just couldn't get up for it anymore.
