Veit was a rubbish, so bad in fact that when Calzaghe re-matched him (as if fighting him once wasn't bad enough) he got booted off Skysports because he had become a laughing stock for taking such a pathetic fight.

    Ward KO.

I don't think Ward hits harder than Calzaghe though.

Shows how thin his resume is, just like the Hopkins win. Yeah it was a good "win", but it was highly debatable and Taylor had already beat him twice, in better fashion, three years earlier. Yet you don't see people jizzing their pants and proclaiming Jermain Taylor as the second coming for beating Hopkins, like Calzaghe fans do.

Veit was a euro level fighter who's best win was against a past prime Brewer. I wouldn't even rank Veit as one of Calzaghe's top 10 wins, Calzaghe beat many fighters better then Veit.

Veit was stopped in all of his 4 losses so I see Ward getting a rare stoppage win. He has no problem getting inside where Veit has no game. Veit doesn't even have a punchers chance as he has little power, all he had was height, a long but ordinary jab and a good promoter who got him 2 shot's at Calzaghe.

Don't lie you never seen Veit fight. Veit would jab Rod's face in.

Oh stop. Rodriguez is on a another level than Veit. Much the same that Ward and Calzaghe are on another level to Rodriguez. And yes, I've seen Veit, not that I remember anything about it.

    You have to be trolling?

Veit's jab was nothing special. Yes he had reach but he couldn't control range with it, Calzaghe walked past his jab like it wasn't even there. Even in the 2nd fight when Calzaghe had no respect for him and gave one of his worst performances he had no problem cutting the ring off and getting inside.

Veit doesn't deserve to be mentioned with greats like Holmes or Liston. Veit wasn't even as good as Richie Woodhall he was on a level of the likes of Silivio Branco. Hell Veit struggled to win a split decision against Kabary Salem even though Salem had 2 points deducted. Veit was not world class.

Just because Veit was a typical Calzaghe weakling defence, it doesn't mean hes good, you appear to be making that mistake LLH.
