Amir Khan's chin is criminally underrated. It's actually pretty good

Note: The shots that Danny hit him with probably would have knocked out many other 140's. Morales fell through the ropes when Danny cracked him with one of those crispy left hooks.

Not only did Khan get back up, he fought through the round and almost another to boot.

Khan actually could have continued even after those 3 knockdowns from Garcia. It probably wouldn't be smart to do so but he could have nevertheless

Prescott was also an extremely hard puncher and he was undefeated, he probably would have knocked out many other 135's with those bombs. :deal

He went 12 without going down against Lamont. Someone who threw countless bombs on his chin.

Sure Diaz rocked him a few times and knocked him down but he came back and outboxed him

Amir's chin is actually quite decent. It's not great but it isn't as bad as many makes it out to be. He has survived fights with semi decent-big punchers like Maidana, Judah, etc.

When you survive a fight with Maidana and stay on your feet after getting hit by those bombs, you ain't got no disgraceful glass jaw.

It's not so much that Khan's chin is bad, it's his defense, he just needs to make a few adjustments and fire Virgil Hunter.............

    Agreed.

The defense/ring iq isn't up to world standard.

    The chin is pretty good.

Hunter isn't that good of a fit for him.

His chin is the purest of glass; a Prescott jab stiffened his legs. He was dropped by undersized 130 pounders Willie Limond and Michael Gomez. He has been rocked by feather-fisted fighters like Lamont Peterson. He was dropped by Julio Diaz and out on his feet. Let's not forget he was KO'd by Prescott and Garcia and completely out on his feet against Maidana.

His chin is as bad as advertised. However, he does have offensive talent and he has managed to beat some good fighters: Malinaggi, Judah, Barrera, Maidana, and Kotelnik. He isn't a bad fighter but his chin is shaky as ****.

His chin is glass. He has good offence and I think his power gets underrated sometimes... some people say he's feather-fisted but really, he isn't. He doesn't have one punch KO power but he can hit hard enough.

His chin, defence and boxing IQ are dreadful though.

Hunter is the best thing that has ever happened to Khan, I don't thin Roach would have ever came up with that neck machine for his chin.

You won't get much sympathy here from white Brits (actually Englishmen) who look at 220lber Ricky Hatton as an all time ATG and basically say **** you to the historical Irish Welsh and Scotsmen who climbed ontop of the lightweight and welter ranks

They also always seem to blame their problems on immigrants. Somehow the discussion always ends at that or how America is just better in some hateful words.

-Muslim American. Deal wit it. Even the immigrants are better in America. Does it burn the Brits heart? Sure it does.

I think its his brain, or lack of one thats the problem. It's all well and good being given advice by Hunter, but he still has to carry out the instructions.
He makes me cringe everytime he's interviewed, he has a vocabulary about the same size as my 2 year old Grandson.

He has been fighting like that all his life, even if he hires all the trainers in boxing nothing will change. A trainer can only make minor adjustments at this point. Khan's chin isn't top level, you simply don't get knocked down and hurt by Limmond and Gomez with a good chin.

His chin is poor, no denying it.
