Problem is that no good p4p list has Broner on it. I'd go for Garcia on my list right now though. I'd remove Donaire. Problem is, Takayama is up in a bit and another win would arguably see him above them all.
Ring Magazine is the one that the casuals take note of and Adrien Broner is in there, why Ill never know but Garcia is lightyears ahead of him and should be in there.Im glad hes getting to headline shows and winning in style and its just the beginning.
Should absolutely be in the top10. Ring Mag has gotten enough stick for screwing up and putting Broner in there, but turns out it's only one of the editors views and the others all seem to disagree.
Mikey has the goods. Patience, power, boxing ability, defense, killer instinct offense. He should also become a PPV fighter as well. Love to see him against Gamboa, but my feeling is that it would have been better if Gamboa was fighting more often. Gamboa, although a very good fighter, I think will get exposed by Mikey. Mikey has sound boxing ability. Made Juanma and Rocky look easy. Mikey needs a superfight to be on the P4P listing, but I think he will get there real soon.
It might be a bit too soon to say but I think Mikey could be #1 on that list somewhere down the line, the fact that he's already beaten Salido,Juanma and Martinez definately deserves a place on the current p4p,hopefully he starts getting some recognition. When you go on Rings website or read their magazine you will Adrien Broners stupid face In the rankings,it's quite irritating knowing there are better fighters out there not getting the props they deserve.
On the back of beating who? Gavin Reese? Or the gift nod over Paulie? Get the **** out of here don't mistake facts for hate,I've got nothing against Broner but he hasn't done **** to be on that list.
He's definitely somewhere between top 9-12, depending on how you want to move guys around. But its absolutely certain that he'll continue to rise in the future. Wins over Argenis Mendez, Uchiyama, Salgado, and Burgos would put him close to the top 5 if he beat them in decisive fashion. Mikey definitely has the tools. He has all of the traits Robert had when he was fighting, but without the weak chin, iffy stamina, lapses in focus, and he's much better at setting and sticking to a pace.
I think we should see if Boner can even make weight for his next fight. I'm thinking a good chance of JCCjr part deux. Or what the weight ping pong will do to him in the ring.
Nah. P4P is getting handed out way too easily these days.... Garcia isn't top 10, neither are broner or canelo. May Ward Bradley Rigo Wlad *By default Froch *By default Donaire *By default Martinez *By default JMM *By default PAC *By default For all intents and purposes, the list can stop at 4, with May, Bradley, Ward, and Rigo... and even then, you could take Rigo out for lack of real depth on his resume. Some could say 'one win does not a p4p'er make'. If someone wants to start talking about an up and comer reaching the p4p lists, people should be talking Swift Garcia, not Canelo, Broner or Mikey. Hes beaten better fighters, more impressively, and yet nobody talks him being p4p. Id have him up there before any of those three.
I will wait for the Maidana fight, if he doesn't win at the same level Garcia did then Garcia goes on the list I am not a big fan of this weight class hoping, I really wished Garcia stayed in 126 lbs, because I am not going to discount those guys: WBA/ATG Chris John WBC Gonzalez IBF Mexican Russian Lomachenko Gary Russel Donaire WBA/ATG Chris John is really P4P above both Broner & Garcia
