Broner will beat Maidana like a Pinata filled with 100 dollar bills:rofl

Seems like you should be supporting the young American fighter...but for some reason you are pulling for the foreigner.

I bet there aren't many Argentines rooting for Broner....:deal:deal:deal

I scored the main event for Garcia through 7 rounds, 4-3 rounds, 66-65 points, giving Martinez the 1st, 2nd (10-8 with the knockdown), and 4th rounds, and scoring the 6th round 10-8 for Garcia because he battered Martinez that round, despite no knockdown. Martinez had a very awkward, lunging style, and a good workrate, but Garcia clearly never worried about his power. So it surprised me to see Garcia be so patient in the early rounds, allowing Martinez to win a few of them on workrate and occasional connections. I thought Garcia at least would have gone after Martinez during one of his wild lunges inside. But except for the 2nd round knockdown, he fought a technically sound fight, and gradually his technique and power won out over the final four rounds. That crushing liver shot at the end goes right up there with Hopkins' KO of ODLH. Garcia instantly goes right near the top of 130, which is much improved from what it was 2-3 years ago. I still have Uchiyama #1, and a Uchiyama vs Garcia fight would be a dream fight, but will never happen. Hopefully Garcia can help restore star power to 130 and 135 in the next couple years.

Martinez actually performed better in defeat than I thought he would; but once Garcia got rolling, he produced a clinical performance against a tough, awkward guy. Be interesting to see who he faces going forward...:think

Had the same score at that point. Was beginning to think Vic had a really good shot, and then of course, it was over moments later.

Yeah. A part of me was almost thinking "Get on your bike, Vic! Ride it out!" - but then it occurred to me that

    1. He would have only had a draw on my card if he gave away the ninth and tenth, which probably would mean a loss on a Top Rank card meant to be a Donaire showcase (as of then I didn't realize he was up 6-4 on two cards...so he could have coasted for the last two and still emerged victorious, actually...)
    2. Darchinyan has no concept of 'getting on a bike', except maybe in the Evel Knievel sense.

Broner isn't American, he is ghettonesian, BIG difference! Americans are embarrased and ashamed by ghettonesians and will always pick the other fighter. Rooting for a ghettonesian is like burning the American flag and pissing on its ashes.
