I'm with you. #2 was a thought that constantly occurred to me when Vic was having some early success. He fought extremely smart. He was patient, poised, and focused, but I had this nagging feeling sooner or later he would get fired-up and reckless. I also remember him tiring a lot during the second half of fights, the Mares bout jumping quickly to mind, but the fact that it was 10 had me wondering....

Did they happen to mention what the official judges had it after 8?

Are the cards written on stone, or do the judges rewrite history to look good after the K.O? I don't know the process, do they actually report the score after each round to a third party?

Yeah. 78-74 Darchinyan, 78-74 Darchinyan, 76-76. If he just pissed away the last two (à la DLH vs. Trinidad - completely opposed to his mentality) and not been knocked down he would've taken a narrow split decision of 96-94, 96-94, 94-96. :verysad

They are written down. Scorecards are real things. Actual, tangible, paper things. Marked on at the conclusion of each round.

Right, but what prevents the judge from leaving it blank untill the end of the fight and then scoring a decision robbery if there is no K.O?

They are collected from them after each round.

He seemed alright to me after 8. I want to go back and rewatch the exact sequence that led to that again for myself. Damn it, Vic!

so youre no longer as obnoxious about the description of a "flash knockdown" as you were earlier tonight when you used "emoticons" and "stfu" in your response to my description of andrade`s flash knockdown, no?

you know, after you got your foot shoved in your mouth when my prediction of andrade going on to both outlanding and outthrowing vanes and making it all twelve rounds after his knockdown as opposed to your failed prediction of vanes ko'ing demetrius was never even close coming to fruition.

The butthurt is strong in this one :|

P.S. I don't think IB is a mod here anymore. Thankfully he still does vbookie and rbr's, so I'd say he does a pretty good job of acting like one, actually.

That would be the second time that the broken clock is correct today. Congratulations.
