I love this part of Warner's record: Opponent listed as Bill Corrigan, but Corrigan claims that he did not fight Warner, and that the opponent was an imposter fighting under his name.
mostly just dishwashers, cabdrivers and male nurses who only became "pro" for one night to make some extra cash and pad some guy's record. I always loved the sentiment that it's impossible for "the man in street" to beat a pro boxer, because many of the so called "pro boxers" are just the very same men in the street. Many I doubt they've ever seen the inside of a gym.
Please don't tell me you haven't yet heard of Ali Raymi? 20 fights, 20 KO1s all against undefeated opponents.... http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=561186&cat=boxer
The amount of NCs in his career..more NCs than wins http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=10543&cat=boxer
http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=38362&cat=boxer This one blows my mind. Ramirez had a win over Whitaker and fought everybody.
That Ali Raymi thing is weird. Look at the officials involved. Almost always the same guys, Amin Al Anisi, Muhammad Al-Harazi, Anwar Al-Ghufri
Dude looks legit based on that record, right? Pretty amazing stuff, how is it even possible? A lot of the opponents are Somalian and most of it has been in 2013. Most also seem to have no fights after Raymi. He's 39 and sending undefeated guys to their retirement in 1 round. Wish he was legit, that would be amazing.
True, but he was a 16 year old boy when they fought. In his first 21 fights, he'd only faced one guy with a win (5-5-9) so if Enriquez was an experienced amateur it would be conceivable that he'd win. I have no clue who Enriquez was or how old he was, but he was likely older and had some experience to be able to win a UD.
